DRABBLE: Morning People

AUTHOR: Kansas J. Miller

CHARACTER: Donna

SUMMARY: The morning is everything.

The morning is everything.

The alarm at five, the shower starting ten minutes later. Quarter past the hour, and she's wrapping a towel around her body, drying her hair while coffee brews.

Five-thirty. She's found clothes. Coffee is breakfast, the entire pot drained before she grabs her bag and makes for the street.

Two minutes before six and the West Wing greets her with freshly- cleaned floors and a faint echo; only a few arrive before she does.

Six-forty. The overnight messages, memos, newspapers arranged for Josh, the schedule printed. He'll be there by five after seven.

They're all morning people.
