Resident Evil : Origins

Prologue

Dear Friend:

Congratulations! You are one of a few specially selected persons who are welcomed to the Spencer Estate, property of Umbrella, Inc., an elite scientific corporation for psychological research and experimentation. This extraordinary opportunity is something you don't want to miss.

Should you accept this gracious invitation, you will spend the next six weeks in a 21-bedroom mansion, complete with libraries and rec rooms, free of charge. In fact, you will be paid, as over the course of the next month and a half you will be subjected to various psychological tests, completely harmless and even beneficial to you.

You will only be asked to do simple tasks, such as ink blot tests, and be interviewed by our licensed psychologists. These are completely safe tests and will be conducted in a stress-free environment to give us the most accurate results. You can expect tests of this type daily, following the initial physical exam. Those participating will be closely monitored for behavioral and emotional research. You will not be subjected to any dangerous situations or stressful experiments.

What to bring:
Please bring enough clothes to last the duration of the research period, and your personal hygiene products--not to include shampoo, soap or toothpaste (these items will be provided for you).

What NOT to bring:
No cellular phones or pagers; tobacco products, drugs or alcohol; board games, books, cards or dice.
Why can't I bring these things? We want to make sure everyone is stress-free, healthy and physically fit for the examinations and experiments; hence no drugs, alcohol or tobacco. As for the extracurricular items, don't worry; the estate is well-equipped to handle boredom, and, after all, you're being paid to do testing, and that will take up most of your day.

If you have further questions, don't hesitate to call our office in Raccoon City at: 1-800-989-7666. Thank you for your time. I hope to see you at the Spencer's!

Yours truly,
Dr. James Worth, MD.

P.S. Due to the Privacy Act Policy, whether you choose to become part of the experimentation or not, we insist you keep all of the above information completely confidential. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
