A short little one-shot.

"It's a little odd to see you like this." Darius said as he sat with a now twenty-year old Edward Elric. The man would be lying if he said Ed hadn't changed. Of course, that was a given. He had watched Ed grow from a short sixteen-year old into a tall, responsible twenty-year old. Well, responsible wasn't a word he could use too much with Ed.

Ed's hair was still the same golden color, not fading too much like his Father's had done. It was the same length, though instead of keeping it in a braid, Ed had switched it out for a pony-tail when he was seventeen. He got rid of the flashy clothing, and now dawned a blue button-up shirt with black slacks and dress shoes. His silver wedding band was unmistakable in the lighting of the coffee shop.

Of course, there was the matter of what Ed was doing right now. In front of him on the table was a regular coffee that the blonde had taken up to drinking once he got married. Next to the coffee was a baby bottle and beside Ed's chair on the ground was a diaper bag. In his arms was the infant that had been born as Ed's son. A small fellow with golden tufts of hair and blue eyes.

"Did you expect any different?" Ed asked with a smirk. His smirk was short lived. "I don't know when I'll finally get any sleep."

"Why haven't you been sleeping? Usually you sleep like the dead!" Darius laughed for a moment and Ed gestured to the infant, not seeming as amused as the older man did. "Well, that's not very funny.." he trailed off.

"It wasn't supposed to be," Ed deadpanned. He gave a groan when the baby began to wail. His arms gently bounced the infant while he checked the diaper to find it clean and dry. The ex state alchemist then took the bottle of milk and placed it in the infant's mouth. "Ah, thank you, Truth."

"What's the kid's name again?" Darius asked as he raised an eyebrow at just how thankful the young adult was.

"Ethan," Ed told. "Ethan Van Elric." he added the full name to the statement.

"Middle name after your Dad, huh?" Darius gave a laugh. "I thought you weren't on good terms with him, ya know, the whole leaving your family thing?"

"After the whole promised day thing, we were on...terms," Ed said. "Yep, we were just on terms."

"Huh, maybe I should call Mustang. He would find this sight hilarious." Darius said. He pointed to the infant that had fallen asleep on Ed, the bottle hanging slightly fro his mouth, and drool mixed with milk coming down on Ed's shirt.

"Ew!" Ed shouted in disgust. When Ethan stirred from the sudden noise and movement, Ed proceeded to shut the hell up. He didn't want to get his ass kicked by his wife. She was already moody to begin with, now she was sleep deprived, and if he came home with a wailing infant, she wouldn't be happy.

"So, what did you want to come talk about, anyway?" Darius asked. He had been a little shocked that Ed had called him, asking to come to the coffee shop. With Ed home with an infant, he almost never came out of the house, always helping Winry with Ethan.

"Winry's pregnant again," Ed said. "I don't know what to do!" he gave an exclaimed whisper. Darius began to laugh at this.

"How come you can't ever come for a visit with anyone since you're so busy at home with the kid, yet you manage to get it on like bunnies with your wife?" Darius asked.

"We always find time for that," Ed said before his smirk returned. "What can I say, I'm just that good."
