Lover's Dance
I danced across an empty stage
Lost in my own little world.
Music across my heart did flow
And scenes in my mind unfurled.
A picture of you and me together
Walking alone in a wood.
We talked and through your eyes
I see love that's misunderstood.
Lost in the picture in my heart
I do not see you come in.
I jump at the feel of hands on my hips
And that's when our real dance begins.
Here on this stage you take me
Your arms about me entwined.
Your lips capture mine with a longing-
Your desire will not be denied.
You have me now completely
Each other we explore.
Touch, kiss, glide of hips
I know I will wants this more.
Till suddenly I feel drawn
Tight in a little ball.
Such a charge surges through me
I lay in your arms enthralled.
The dance is done, we catch our breath
We let go of a pent up sigh.
Only to start the dance again
And let the world slip by.
