Characters: Anko, Orochimaru
Summary: He got rid of her like garbage. He lit her on fire, and let her burn.
Pairings: None
Author's Note: Anko's kind of hard to write, but I do what I can. I only hope that it is enough to satisfy you, my readers.
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.
She owes so much to her old sensei, and if she ever sees him again she'll be sure to repay him in kind. Anko will never allow a debt to go unpaid, and if Orochimaru wanted blood from her, she'll get blood from him, too.
When she lies on a hospital bed as a child, Anko doesn't know where she is. She doesn't know what any of this is, to be honest. The walls seem to melt and she drenches her bed sheets with sweat until the sickly aroma fills the air and, even years later, can't be truly banished from the room.
Anko knows nothing, nothing but pain and torment and feeling as though her body has been lit on fire, and who has done this to her. Oh yes, she knows who is responsible for this.
Orochimaru.
The snake man.
The one she once called sensei.
Anko screams and wails from the snakes in her belly and wonders how he could do this to her. Every inch of her skin feels inflamed with venom, and he is the only one she doesn't cry out for. Mother and Father (who are both dead), and the nine others who were there are all called for, but Orochimaru's name is left out.
Because Anko knows that he won't answer. He won't come.
When Anko wakes, it is to sunlight too bright and too hot pouring through the window directly on her face, trying to burn her. She has a fresh, shiny black mark on her neck to remember Orochimaru by (because he can't stand the thought that she or anyone else might ever forget him), and her limbs are as weak and useless as water.
There are nine others. Anko remembers there faces, can still hear their voices, because they will never leave her now (They never woke up). She will always remember them, always keep candles lit inside her souls. Someone has to remember the ones who didn't make it, and she's the only one who can remember anyway.
Orochimaru wanted blood from her, and he got blood.
And then, Anko reflects bitterly, he dropped her like a hot stone, like she was useless (Useless useless useless, the echoes repeat back to her, when she screams it at a darkened wall. Even the silence won't answer Anko in any way as to be useful). She was Orochimaru's student, but then she became garbage, and he got rid of her in the way all garbage is disposed of.
He lit her on fire, and let her burn.
Well, Anko has given him blood. He will always have her blood.
But Anko would like a little something back.
So when she sees Sensei again, she'll get his blood.
And then, like so much garbage, Anko decides, she'll light him on fire, and watch him burn.
All with a smile on her face, knowing that she's finally free.
