Not Following in Her Mother's Footsteps

Jackie smiled as she watched Jasmine sit in the middle of the two babies. She was reading them a book, smiling broadly appearing very proud of herself.

"No Ryan." She said sounding annoyed as the baby grabbed onto the corner of the book.

"He wants to help you turn the page sweetheart." Jackie told her.

"But I'm not done with the page yet mommy." She said exasperated.

"Well sweetie, he's too little to understand that." Jackie told her with a chuckle.

Jasmine sighed and then got back to reading.

"Boone, pay attention." Jasmine scolded as she looked over and noticed her baby brother was way more focused on trying to fit his entire hand into his mouth then he was on the story.

"Jasmine, why don't you read to Sloan and Karlie, they are older and will listen better." Jackie suggested.

"Ok." Jasmine said happily.

Within moments Sloan and Karlie were sitting next to her excited to hear the story, they loved being read to.

"Fire fruck." Sloan exclaimed happily as he pointed at the page.

"Be quiet Sloan." Jasmine scolded harshly.

"He's just excited because he loves fire trucks, aren't you buddy?" Jackie asked the little boy.

"Yeah." Sloan said, shaking his head.

Jasmine just gave him a dirty look for interrupting.

Jackie had to walk out of the room to laugh.

"I hope she doesn't want to follow in my footsteps and become a teacher, she is strict." Jackie thought to herself amusedly.

Jasmine was a firecracker, no doubt about it.
