He stood there. Watching. Just watching. He could see them all from here. And they could see him.

They had all glanced up at some point. Trying to figure him out. Trying but failing. But who could figure him out? Could anyone understand what happened in Captain Jack Harkness's head? They thought someone might.

After he saved the world from their mistake and died for a few days, he disappeared. Just for a hour. But it might have well been a year. He didn't tell them how or where he disappeared. They wouldn't normally worry but they felt on edge. He seemed to of found something. Something that he had been looking for.

He looked at them and knew they were trying to work him out. He knew he should have given a reason for disappearing, but what could he say. A whole year had past for him. A whole year of pain. He felt a huge sense of relief though. He wanted to change the records to make it official. Rose was alive. The Doctor had done what he had promised. And he felt more alive than ever.

Even though he had decided to stay with his team, he wished someone was there who could understand him. Who knew him? The Doctor had saved his life more than once. He thought looking after Torchwood would make the Doctor happy, proud even. Then he had realized that he had become part of an organization that done what the Doctor fought against.

So Jack had to change it. He had to stop barging around telling aliens to go home or shot them, because the Doctor didn't want that. He made orders to his team, which they found strange, but followed. He had done it for the Doctor. For Rose. He smiled at the thought.

His team looked up. It was his first real smile since he came back.

Hmmm. Not to sure on this, but I had to write it. Please tell me what you think. But I think I might try again. 4 posts in a day!
