Sam's POV

It was almost dark. Perfect. I ran out the door of my house and ran towards the park. Tonight was going to be a big night. A Meteor Shower was going on tonight, better known as Shooting Stars.

I thought back to the last time I saw a shooting star. It had been Paulina's birthday, and Danny couldn't remember anything because of a stupid wish.

I sighed as I walked in the park, looking for a nice spot to view the sky. I found it. It was the spot that Danny and I had one of those fake-out make-outs. I sat down on the ground and gazed up into the sky. It was a clear night, and the stars above twinkled down at me.

"Sam?"

I jumped at the sound of my name. I looked up to see baby blue eyes looking down at me.

"Danny? What are you doing here?" I asked as he sat down beside me.

"I was going to watch the meteor shower for the op center, but Dad went fudge crazy and I didn't feel like hearing him blabbering about his favorite brands. So, I came out here. You don't mind me joining you, do you?" He asked.

"Of coarse not, Danny." I smiled.

"Hey look, there's the first one!" Danny pointed up at the sky.

I looked up, wanting to see a shooting star, but saw nothing.

"Did you see it?" Danny asked me.

"No." I said sadly.

"You need to look again." He told me with a smile.

I loved the way he smiled.

I continued to stare at the night sky, waiting.

Nothing.

Then, finally, a saw one, and it was beautiful. I jammed my eyes shut and made my wish. When I opened my eyes, I looked at Danny instead of the sky. He was on his back with his hands behind his head. I felt my heart skip a beat.

"Sam? Are you ok?" Danny asked somewhat concerned as he sat up and looked at me.

"Yeah." I answered.

More silence.

"Danny, do you know where we are?" I asked.

Danny looked around, then blushed. I took this as a "Yes."

Danny looked at me and blushed even more. Yes, he definitely remembered what happened here. I felt myself blushing too. I also felt myself moving closer to him. Danny seemed to freeze. Before I knew what was happening, I was an inch away from him, coming closer and closer. I was kissing him, and I was surprised to feel him kissing me back.

We stayed like this for what felt like hours, but it was only a few minuets. When we broke apart, it was only to breathe.

"Sam, I'm sorry I have been so clueless." Danny apologized.

"I'm sorry I didn't admit my true feelings for you before now." I replied.

Danny put his hand around my waist, and rested my head on his shoulder.

My wish came true.
