"So if she asked you to take your clothes off and run down the street, would you do it?" Jordan asked Rayna's 'number one fan' Audra. Woah, Jordan thought. Musta drunk more champagne than I thought to ask something like that.
"With or without my undies?" Audra replied slightly naively, in her adorable Australian accent. I thought Rayna was hot, but this Jordan girl…thought Audra. She felt an unexplainable pull to Jordan that instantly made her feel safe and familiar.
Jordan chuckled at her response and couldn't help but really look hard at this Audra chick. Jordan noticed Rayna was being beckoned away from the pair by her manager Biz, and getting up left Jordan and Audra alone in the booth. Jordan moved closer to this intriguing girl from Oz. "So you flew all the way out here just for Rayna?" Jordan asked trying to find out more about the girl. "I feel like I know you from somewhere."
"Yeah, but it's all worth it, even if I am only here for the one full day…I've gotten to meet so many cool and interesting people. Makes a change." She added, pushing her glasses up her nose. "You're so lucky having this job."
"Don't tell anyone, but I'm only in it for the singing. I'm not the kiss-ass type like some of the people working here are. I wanna go places."
"Well, I can keep a secret," Audra smiled.
The pair fell quiet for a moment.
"So d'you –" Jordan started.
"Are you –" Audra started. They both grinned. "You go." Audra offered.
"So d'you have a boyfriend back in...?"
"Brisbane. No. My mum would freak if I went out with anyone." Audra took a long drink from her champagne glass. "But…to be honest, boys have never really interested me. I've… always found other women attractive. Wow. I've never actually told anyone that…" She looked at her feet nervously.
"Ah that's cool," Jordan replied casually. "Girls are sometimes better to go for anyway. Speaking from experience." She gave a wry smile.
"Really?" Audra asked.
"Meh, sometimes. Depends on my mood." Jordan teased. "Girls are softer, sweeter. But have emotional baggage more often than not. Guys on the other hand know what you want and aren't the types to argue, less dancing round. Now you…would fall into the sweet category." Before Jordan knew what she was doing, she took the empty champagne glass out of Audra's hand and placed it slowly on the table, leaning closer to Audra's body. She could see that both their breathing had intensified, her own heartbeat heavy, it felt like it was going to jump right out of her chest. How she loved the feel of attraction sometimes.
As Jordan leaned close to Audra, Audra couldn't help but imagine the feel of Jordan's hands on her skin, and a shiver ran down her spine. As the thought took over her, her senses heightened, and as she could smell Jordan, it increased her desire to be close to her. She felt Jordan's hands on her own, and true as she'd imagined, a wave of longing coursed through her. "I've…never…" she breathed, and was silenced by Jordan's soft lips meeting her own. Jordan leaned back for a moment to give Audra a chance to process what had just happened; but Audra leant forward and caught Jordan's lips once more, her hand moving into Jordan's gorgeous dark hair. A rhythm developed between them as the kiss deepened, and Audra slowly leant back into the seats, so Jordan was on top.
"Jordan? Jordan!" Came Rayna's voice from by the miniature balcony. Both girls sat up quickly from where the table had been hiding their kiss. "Yeah?" Jordan asked, smoothly sweeping her hair out of her face. "Come here, I want you to meet some people." Rayna walked over quickly, taking Jordan's hand and leading her away from Audra, now left alone. I'm so moving to Los Angeles. Audra thought with a smile.
