It's odd.
...
"It's odd don't you think?" Luna asked nonchalantly.
"What?" Ginny asked as she finished the final line of her potions parchment.
"You know..." Luna said as her library books began to find their places.
"Luna, what are you talking about!" Ginny exclaimed with a large smile.
"That we're friends." Luna stated.
Ginny was confused.
"What do you mean? Do you not want to be friends?"
"I mean that you know I like girls, and of course I want to be friends."
"So?" Ginny asked as she followed Luna through the library.
"I don't know." Luna shrugged.
"Well you must if you said so, just spit it out." Ginny exclaimed as she took Luna's arm.
"I guess I'm asking why you don't care..." Luna whispered.
Ginny smiled at first, and then began to giggle.
"Oh Luna! You're even looney-er than I thought!" Ginny exclaimed.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Luna frowned before she continued to walk.
"Luna... I... I didn't mean it like that." Ginny sighed.
Ginny ran up the stairs in order to catch up with Luna's fast stride.
"Luna wait!" Ginny gasped.
Luna turned swiftly on her heel with a stern face toward Ginny.
"What did you mean then?"
Ginny bit her lip.
"All I meant is that you're my friend and I don't care if you like girls."
Luna was silent for a moment.
"What if I don't like girls? What if I like a girl?"
Ginny stepped towards Luna.
"Then..." She began as she took Luna's hands in her own.
"I would feel honoured." Ginny whispered.
"How about we go put our things away and then we can go sit by the black lake." Ginny suggested with a smile.
"That..." Luna whispered.
"Would be perfect."
