The sun set over the horizon. The joy of the day had now passed and the cold, dark, embrace of night now loomed over the land. It was by the sunset that Eamon found sadness; the sadness that evokes the deepest darkness that manifests in one soul. Eamon felt the cold air of the oncoming night chill his soul to the bone. He was sad, and that sadness couldn't help but ruminate throughout his entire body. Perhaps he still felt some desire for that past love of his, the one that, at one point he thought could give him the happiness he so greatly desired, but now left him nothing but misery. He couldn't help but laugh, but more of a sad and ironic laugh then one of genuine fun and enjoyment. He knew he was the only one who could fully appreciate what he was now feeling.

The sun now grew dimmer and he knew that it was just about time to head home. But he could feel someone, or something, close behind him. But they couldn't fool Eamon, he was far too smart and perceptive to be assaulted by some hidden figure. He swiftly intercepted the hand now reaching for him.

But he was surprised when it was none other than that grotesque form known only as Shadow the Fox. He bore a striking resemblance to Tails the Dog, but with pink and black instead. Although that knowledge had been kept hidden from Shadow for a very specific reason.

He was hideous, although that was the best that Eamon could afford for friendship. It wasn't an optimal alliance, however Eamon did need a shoulder to cry on sometimes.

"Think about it... it's funny how in such a sex-crazed society, that epic gamers like us still struggle to lose their virginities." said Eamon coldly.

"Eamon, I see by both your sad words and unfeeling body motions that you feel some sort of sadness. Although I can empathize with you (I feel this very emotion daily), I'm afraid that we must leave before... SHE comes." said Shadow the Fox, but it was too late.

It was Tails the Dog herself, in the flesh. She approached Eamon with a flip of her luscious hair and a mesmerizing stare. She couldn't help but hold Eamon close before he could scramble away.

"Embrace me Eamon, and we shall cook our food in the oven of love... sweet love." she said with passion, but Eamon rejected such advances with a negative shrug. He didn't want to deal with deceptive women as they always were.

Shadow the Fox took note and shoved Tails the Dog away, but not too hard since they were all still friends and whatnot. Instead, Shadow had a much better plan, and one that would all involve the three of them this time. Shadow put his hands over Eamon's shoulders and gave him a good rub down as to loosen him up the idea.

"Hey Eamon, how about we go to the ball and have some fun. It might just be the perfect opportunity for you to let go of those anxious and troubling feelings that have cursed you the last few weeks. Surely nothing bad could come of that, right?" said Shadow the Fox with a massive nudge

Eamon was surprisingly receptive to this plan, after all, he was a baller B)

"Ok sure I suppose. I am super cool after all." said Eamon the cool guy

And so it was decided that they would go to the ball. They marched along merrily down the road but soon encountered some trouble along the way. It was two men having a bit of a brawl down the way. Eamon immediately recognized one of the men as being a dungeon dweller.

Eamon though of dungeon dwellers as little more than loathsome creatures. It should be pretty obvious that Eamon possessed some sort of fear for dungeons, but his reasons go further back than this moment.

"Oh my gosh, those men are fighting, lets break it up!" said Shadow the Fox

"No hold on, I like watching the fight." said Tails the Dog

"I agree, it is fun as long as that dungeon creep gets beat up." said Eamon

Although before a fight could break out between the three friends, the fight that they had been viewing was over. A disappointing end for some to be sure.

"These fights have been breaking out more recently as of late. Why can't those dungeon crawlers and those opposed just get along?" said Shadow the Fox

"Shadow, it really is quite justified. If those dungeon scum weren't so disgusting and morally debased, than there would be no reason, but as it stands those people need to be put in their place." said Eamon

Shadow swallowed nervously, as the one detail he had neglected to bring up to Eamon was that the ball... was taking place in the Dungeon! (DUN DUN DUN!).
