Despair.
Hello, everyone. A pet close to me passed away today, and as such, have been feeling very down. Taking the raw emotion, I'm going to write a story incorporating the feelings here. It'll only be a short one. Here goes.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything to do with the Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. I only own a copy of the game.

The dull green hues of the surrounding vegetation blurred upon impact, her small, light stature thrown back by the force.
"Navi!!" Link cried, witnessing her light frame crippled by the claws of the large Wolfos in front of him.
The beast, merely growling at the gesture, turned its gaze to Link.
Replaying the sound of blood droplets hitting the hard, cracked ground, he lifted his sword. Closing his eyes, he lunged with all of his force into the abdomen of the creature, which emitted a whimper.
Falling instantaneously from the blow, the Wolfos hunched forward, before falling onto its stomach. Turning to see his injured comrade, she was panting heavily, seemingly in a large amount of shock.
Running over to her, Link knelt and lifted her body closer to his face.
"Navi! Are you alright?" He spoke, seeing her eyes closed, yet chest raising and lowering rapidly. Moving her slight hands, he noticed a deep laceration across her stomach, which was bleeding badly.
"L…Link, was I of much…help?" She whispered, as the blood began to drip through his fingers. Seeing her in such a mortified condition, his throat began to sore, as his eyes stung with sorrow.
Never feeling this kind of emotion towards anyone before, he knelt, choking back the tears welling behind his eyelids. Her body became less agitated by the motion of breathing.
"I'm glad…I could be of assistance…" she spoke, as she felt her vision blur more so. The pain turned to numbness around her midriff, as she lay, helpless.
A surge of pain shot through her back, causing her to arch. Noticing the movement, Link opened his eyes, causing a tear to race down his cheek.
"Good…bye, Link-"
She whispered, before being cut off from a stinging sensation from her lungs. Completely bereft of words, Link remained immobile. Seeing her tiny body thrash and roll caused him to feel intense remorse, for not helping her in the first place.
Navi then straightened her body, lying still. She gave a deep sigh whilst doing so; the likes of which Link would never see or hear her do ever again. Her limp, motionless body only being supported by Links hand, he placed her down, atop the small patch of grass at his feet. Biting his upper lip, a second tear fell from his eye, landing on the patch next to her.

Not much of a story, I know, but I wanted to write it to express my feelings, more so the one where I could never have done anything to save her. May you rest in peace, Shelley.
