Life as We Live It:
Chapter one:
Progression of time and hints of Love
Dear Diary,
It's been four years since that day I fell through the well. Four years since I met Inuyasha. I turned 19 three months ago. I look the same as when I jumped into the well. It seems as though I only got older not older looking. Oh well. Does he even notice me? Kami I love him so. I could never tell him mind you. It wouldn't be fair to the poor guy. He has enough to deal with as it is. He still cares for Kikyo; I don't think that he still loves her, and I think that that freaks him out a bit. Also, we still need to complete the Shikon no Tama. If we don't do that there might not be a future for Japan or even the world! Finally, he and his brother have some issues that need to be resolved. I mean it can't be healthy to try to rip each others throats out every time you see each other!
'Till later Kag
"KAGOME OKAA-SAN! YOU'RE BACK!" squealed an over zealous kitsune otherwise knows as Shippo.
"Omph!" said Kagome as said kitsune plowed into the diminutive girl at a speed that could rival that of a car.
"Welcome back!" chorused Miroku and Sango.
A typical, "Keh!" was heard from the imposing hanyou that led the heroic group.
Kagome quickly hid her hurt at Inuyasha's less than welcoming greeting and consoled her self with the thought that his greeting wasn't different from any other that she had received as of late from the tempermental hanyou.
"Let's get a move on, were wasting time here!" said Inuyasha.
"Okay," said Kagome, "let's go if everyone's ready."
The group gathered their supplies and headed towards the latest shard rumor which happened to be in a north easterly direction.
As they set out a certain houshi and miko felt a tingle at the edge of their spiritual awarness that only told of evil things to come.
Being the wonderful tension breaker that he is Miroku decided to get reacquainted with a part of Sango's anatomy that he had refrained from touching due to the still healing wound from said woman's weapon of bone.
As Miroku's hand crept lower, Sango prepared to deliver the harsh blow, but waited just long enough to be able to savor the touch of the one she loved.
"Lovely as ever Sango-sama." said the enamored houshi.
CRACK THUMP
Inuyahsa and Kagome stood and watched the over played scene with the tell tale sweat drops present next to their bemused figures.
What the miko didn't know was that her favorite hanyou was staring more at her then at the plight of our dear monk.
That was a secret he hoped to keep until after the Shikon was complete. When they could decide what to do. Where to live. When to live.
But it all depended on her. If she loved him. If she would stand by his side.
Inuyasha's ears flicked back as he realized that his dream could never come true.
Kagome was too pure for a half-breed like him.
Who could love him.
He was hanyou.
He wasn't meant to be loved.
