Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha
Kagome zoomed through her house doing any last minute preparations. "I'm leaving to tell my friends! Bye Mom!" She yelled as she approached the door.
"Okay honey but make sure your not late." Mrs. Higugashi called out from the kitchen.
"I will." Kagome nodded in assurance.
Once on the other side of the well Kagome sped of toward the village hoping Inuyasha wouldn't be there. However, our favorite hanyou had went to her time last night and fell asleep in the tree beside her window. (What she doesn't know won't hurt her, or will it?) When she cought sight of the village she quickened her pace heading strait for kaede's hut, which was practically considered her second home now.
"Hey everyone." she announced as she made her way inside. Nervously, she scanned the perimeter for any signs of Inuyasha. 'Few, he's not here.'
"Good afternoon lady Kagome." Miroku replied rubbing a red hand print on his left cheek.
"You seem to be on edge . Is everything all right." asked Sango as she moved further away from the lecherous monk.
"Everything's fine. Um... the two of you haven't by chance seen Inuyasha around lately, have you?"
"Not since yesterday morning. Why do you ask?" Miroku responded inching closer and closer.......and...............CLOSER...... SLAP two points
Kagome sighed in relief. "Good, I was hoping not to cause trouble with him." completely ignoring the grouping.. She received confusing stares from the two asking: what are you up to?
"Have the two of you been fighting again?" Sango asked.
"No. Not exactly." They gave her quizzical looks. "I'm leaving soon across the ocean. Some relatives of mine invited me to stay with them. Since I haven't seen them in a year I thought it would be a good idea. Plus I'm on vacation from school and a break would do me some good so I agreed to it." Kagome explained hoping her friends would understand.
"I see. You didn't wish to tell Inuyasha because he would make a big deal about it and not allow you to leave." confirmed Miroku, feeling as though he should receive an award for stating the obvious.
"Exactly and I was wondering if.."
"If we could tell him for you after a day or two, so you will have enough time to leave." Sango finished. Kagome just nodded. 'Is it that obvious?'
"Sure, we have you covered. Now go on and have some fun." Sango said giving her a small push towards the door.
"Thanks." Kagome looked around expecting to hear a crying Shippo but was met with silence. "Where are the others?" she asked, for the first time noticing their disappearance.
"Kaede took Shippo out to help her gather herbs. She's been running a little low on medicine lately and needed to restock." Rub Rub... Slap
"Keep your damn wondering hands to yourself Houshi!"
Swetdrop 'When will he learn?' "Sorry guys but I really must be going. I'll see you when I return. Bye!" Kagome waved to them as she stepped out of the hut.
