I love Allwrongshipping (NxCheren), and I've read as many fanfics for that shipping as I can, so I decided to write my own. Enjoy! :D
Cheren's Point of View:
I stumbled out of the gate and into the city. Compared to the barren desert before it, Nimbasa City was an eden; the air was clean, fountains roared, and all the attractions! But, the Battle Subway can wait. I planned to go straight for the gym, after I rested at the pokemon center, of course.
I wandered through streets full of people and pokemon until I arrived at the entrance to the amusement park, where the gym was positioned. I passed a tent shaped like some strange yellow pokemon and stopped. I gaped at it in awe. Glowing neon lights pulsed down its sides. I could have stared at it all day, until I noticed a tall man with hair as green as tea leaves approach me.
Ugh. This guy. I had seen him twice before, the first time being at Accumula Town, after a strange speech about pokemon liberation. What was his name? N? Yes, N. All I could remember about him was that he talked way too fast. But, why was this strange person approaching me? I didn't know.
He stopped about a foot away from me and asked, "Would you like to go on the Ferris wheel?" Before I could refuse, he grabbed my hand and dragged me onto one of the pokeball shaped cars.
After sitting there silently for about 5 minutes, he told me, "I love Ferris wheels." And I could tell. His eyes were nearly sparkling with excitement. "I especially like the physics and mechanics of them." Science. This was something I could relate with. I pushed up my glasses and began to say something, until he said: "The view is amazing." I looked out the windows and began to feel nauseous. He was right, the view was splendid, if you weren't afraid of heights.
"Are you alright? You look like you've seen a ghost."
I swallowed hard. I managed to choke out an "I'm fine", before I started sweating and feeling dizzy.
Without saying a word, he got closer and put his arms around me. Normally, I would have freaked out, but I didn't have the energy to resist. I closed my eyes and we sat like that until the ride came to an end. Coming back to my senses, I nearly leaped out of his embrace and began straightening my glasses and fixing my hair. My face was red with embarrassment, but I wished we could have stayed like that forever.
Was it possible to be in love with someone you barely knew? As we stepped out and I started to leave he stopped me and asked, "Would you like to ride the Ferris wheel again tomorrow?"
"Sure." I said, but honestly, I would ride anything as long as it was with him.
