Kuroko's Basket in a hundred years'll belong to me.
My sister said that Shinsei (真性) meant genuine, intrinsic, and essential. Also has the same "Shin" kanji (真) from "Shintarō" (真太郎). So I thought it would fit the genderbend perfectly.
First attempt over writing English in KnB's fandom, please treat me right! Also, first attempt of AkaMido, so double please treat me right!
Midorima Shinsei wasn't a woman of dresses.
She liked to take care of her left hand nails, as much woman did. She liked to have her hair long and divided in two breasts, nothing to take observance of, it was practical and useful when it needed. That didn't meant, however, that she was feminine.
She somehow make it to have great grades. She was at the female's basketball first string, and her skills had nothing left to wish. Both facets of her teenage years maked her rather unfeminine, one because she thought it wasn't important if she wore or not make up while doing an exam, and the other because it would slid out of her face while doing a three pointer from the other side of the court because of all the sweat her body would trow.
She was, summarizing all the above, all but glad at being forced to wear a dress.
And Kise was suffering for it.
"C'mon, Midorimacchi! It's just this time!" Pleaded the blonde with fake tears. The green haired shook her head.
"I refuse."
"But Midorimacchi, today's a special day, cannot you wear it?" Another shook. "Please, you know I'm not asking you to wear it for me~"
"My point still stands."
"How so?"
Shinsei glanced at the third voice that came from the door's direction. Her hair didn't floated behind her like other times, for being combed opulently and decorated with a few golden brooches. She wore little make up, a few eye shadows that matched her hair color.
"A-Akashi! W-What are y-you doing here?!" She stammered. "You're supposedly not to see the bride before the wedding because—"
"—may bring misfortune, wouldn't it?" As the color in her cheeks been taken as a silent assent, he just rolled his eyes. "I thought It said it was if the groom sees the bride in the wedding dress before the wedding may bring misfortune… but I see no dresses in here, or is it that your dress is like that Emperor's New Clothe?"
Her blush only did increase. "Of course it isn't! Actually, Kise and I were just about to get the dress out of its bag, weren't we, Kise?" He just shrugged, not helping her at all. "Now, if you may excuse us, we've got preparations to do, so go… to somewhere else isn't this room."
Midorima Shinsei wasn't a woman of dresses. She didn't like opulent hairdos. She didn't use make up at all. She had called herself unfeminine serious times.
However, as Akashi left the room, in that black tuxedo costume, she admitted to herself and her diamond-made ring that Kise was right.
Today was a special day.
