Harry Potter Prompt
Main Character(s): Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger
Story Type: Time-Travel AU
Original Title: Death In All Its Glory
Original Ships: N/A (a.k.a ignoring canon ships too)
Story Idea: They won the war but the death toll was high. In Harry and his friends' regret for not being more prepared and capable they take on the risk of time travel only achieved by the Master of death. Where the maximum of three people can go back to a designated point, one person representing each Deathly Hallow. If only the Master of Death goes back then they will have two extra lives to come succeed in their endeavor but Harry being Harry decides to keep those he trusts the most by his side; Ron and Hermione rather than have the extra lives.
The cost in doing this deed is that the Deathly Hallows will disappear and won't be seen again in the world for some time until Death himself decides the world is in need of his power again. Each individual represents his Hallow with Harry being the Invisibility Cloak, Ron with the Stone (for character development), and Hermione with the Deathstick.
With time changed and a new future in the making... Harry, Ron, and Hermione plan to prepare themselves and the rest of Britain for Voldemort's return all while keeping Dumbledore in the dark. Harry goes to Slytherin to bring the House back to their glory days and makes an unlikely ally in Snape, Hermione goes to Hufflepuff to show that House is more than just the scraps while also campaigning for muggleborns to play to their strengths rather than just settle for getting this far, and Ron goes to Ravenclaw to break tradition and make his own name known among his House as someone more than just another Weasley.
Note: Hermione has the deathstick because she's the only one who can both respect and caution its power... also great for being muggleborn.
Ron has the stone to gain more perspective and realism from the dead (and the history of what really happened to get rid of his conditioned bias)
Harry has the invisibility cloak for his ability to blend in and fade to the background while still making a difference to the world oblivious to what's right in front of them.
The Rules are: Never tell anyone about the alternate future or death itself will take its revenge.
This also means that all the Deathly Hallows that existed before the time-travel disappear like they were never there in the first place. And no one will ever know better (the ones who had them) so Dumbledore will never question why his wand and James Potter's cloak simply vanished.
Notes: This story on the other-hand was influenced and inspired by MissCHSparkles's There's The Charm. Make sure to give her credit if you chose to adopt this story.
Do with this story as you wish. For now, I wish you luck.
Sincerely,
