Leaves
"Hey!" She giggled as I hugged her from behind and pulled her to me.
"Yes?" I grinned, making the word 'yes' sound as if it had 3 syllables.
She giggled, her charming, pearly giggle. "We're about to fall!"
And she was right. We did fall.
"Yes, we have fallen in love." I said, falling back into the huge pile of orange and pepper colored leaves. She was right on top of me, lying on her back. I cradled my love in my arms.
"I love you." She turned her head to face me, leaning against my chest.
"I love you so much." I whispered in her ear. I felt her grin. I started humming "Baby it's Cold Outside." I felt her grin wider. She joined me, and when the song was finished, she turned to me again and kissed my cheek. I turned to her and rubbed my nose on her cheek, like a kitten asking to be petted. Then I kissed on her on the lips and we both laughed.
"Forever." I said.
"Forever." She echoed.
