As I Watch You Sleep

BruceDiana

Batman stood by her window as he gazed at her sleeping form. She looked very peaceful while she slept. Unlike him, he was always in stress whether it was during his sleeping moments or waking hours. His nightmares would always haunt him to the point where he decided to no longer sleep at all.

He quietly strode towards the side of her bed. He stop midstride when he noticed that she had shifted to her right, making her face him. "Diana," he smiled as he said her name. Bruce smirked when she saw her ruby lips curve into a smile as if she had heard him utter her name. He slowly sat down on the edge of her bed, making sure she doesn't notice her bed dipping downwards at the shift of his weight. Gladly, she stayed asleep when he had finally settled in.

Bruce smiled at the sight of her face. He slowly caressed her face with a gentle touch of his hands. He took off one of his gauntlets and once again touched her face, this time feeling the softness of her skin. 'She's so beautiful.' Then, he watched as her chest heaved up and down as she breathed in and out. Her breathing was calm and serene. From her face, he gazed down towards her curvaceous figure underneath the white cotton blanket. He wolfishly smirked when he noticed that she had been sleeping in the nude.

Bruce's mind wandered back to the reason as to why he was in her room now. His patrol had gone quiet and his mind effortlessly wandered to her. He knew she had been staying in Gotham for a charity event and he wanted to see her. He then decided to head to the hotel she was staying in. Now, here he was caressing her face while watching her sleep.

Surprisingly, he heard her utter his name. "Bruce," she called softly with a smile afterwards. He smiled before placing a short kiss on her temple. He got up from her bed, wore his gauntlet back on, and glanced at her one last time. "I love your, Princess," he said softly, wishing she were able to hear it.

Diana's eyes slightly opened and noticed a shadowy figure standing in front of her. She slowly opened her eyes this time to see who was in her room, but when she had fully opened her eyes, the figure had disappeared. D iana's hand brushed over a warm spot on her bed. Then, as the wind blew through her window, she smelled a faint masculine scent that she knew belonged to only one man. She sat up, clutching the blanket to her naked form.

"Bruce?"
