This takes place after "Sesshomaru Wields Tokijin". I just saw it last
night, and immediately decided to write this.
Disclaimer: I own this fic, but I do not own any of the characters named. That includes Inuyasha, Totosai, and Jaken. Also, Kaejinbo, Goshinki, Kagura, Sesshomaru. Oh, and Rin. Don't own her, either.
JAKEN'S POV
Sesshomaru was walking in front of me as usual as we trekked through the forest. I still could not believe that he had not taken the chance, and killed Inuyasha.
We had comissioned Kaejinbo to make a demonic sword from the fang of Goshinki, the demon who had crushed the Tetsusaiga with his very own teeth. Kaejinbo was the dejected disciple of Totosai, the one that forged the Tetsusaiga and the Tenseiga. The sword Kaejinbo made was the Tokijin. However, Goshinki's evil aura still lingered in the sword, and the sword posessed Kaejinbo, and he cut me in half. I later woke up to find out that Lord Sesshomaru had used the sword to heal me. Upon returning to the campsite where Rin was waiting, Sesshomaru revealed a woman named Kagura hiding in the woods. She said she was the incarnation of Naraku, and that Goshinki, the one whose fang the sword Tokijin is based on, was an incarnation as well. Kagura told Master Sesshomaru that he was the swords rightful owner, and then flew away on a giant feather. Lord Sesshomaru went to battle Inuyasha then. Totosai had warned him not to wield Tokijin, fore he would be swallowed up by its evil. Master Sesshomaru payed no attention to the old fool, and used Tokijin anyway, diminishing the evil aura that surrounded it. He fought Inuyasha, whose sword had grown heavy, to see him transform into a full demon. Inuyasha did transform, but Totosai shot fire between the two before either of them could get a shot at each other! What I don't understand is, why didn't Lord Sesshomaru finish Inuyasha off instead of letting him escape? I asked him soon after the battle, but he never answered.
Now we are traveling through the forest again, to pick up Rin before we continue along our journey. Sesshomaru is holding Tokijin in his hands, looking the demonic sword over and over. It worries me that he could keep so quiet after so fierce a battle. And how did Inuyasha transform into a full demon? The thought of it is mindboggling.
Oh well. I am closer to Lord Sesshomaru's step now, and I look up at him. He is quietly staring at the sword. It will be of great use to us.
We are almost at the campsite, when, "Master Sesshomaru!"
"Hm?" Lord Sesshomaru breaks his gaze and looks up at the young girl. "What is it, Rin?" But she says nothing, just hugs him. She thinks of him as a father, her paternal figure, even though Sesshomaru is not. But she is a great pain. However, she is obedient. VERY obedient. When Sesshomaru tells her to stay still, (which he did before he talked to Kagura,) she won't move a muscle until Sesshomaru tells her she can move again (which he did after he talked to Kagura.) Sesshomaru seems to care about this girl, in someway or somehow. Myself, I find her a great pain in the neck, but I would never harm her for fear of Lord Sesshomaru!
Sesshomaru stares blankly at Rin, who is still hugging him. He's surprised, though. His mother must of not hugged him much. You can see a little surprise in his eyes. He's a master at hiding his emotions.
"Rin," he says, "get off."
"Yes my lord!" Rin said, already two feet in front of him saluting.
I shook my head. What a strange girl. Speaking of strange girls, or strange women, I wondered where Kagura is now? And what did she really want? Would I ever find out? Only time would tell.
This is Jaken, signing off.
