Major spoilers if you have not seen ep 10. That last ep left me well needing just a mite more closure. So this one rounds off a few things. Athos and Milday pov switching. Also revenge.
Milady first person
Milady -It is a finale I and to expected someone to die.
I still ache for a little revenge you know and god knows he spent the entire episode threatening my life.
Oh yes cardinal, do have a glass of wine on me.

A scarred face orphan approaches the cardinal a glass of wine for you sir?
The orphan become courtesan, bows to the powerful man and watches from beneath her brown locks. Young she is, but early she has learned. Milady did teach her how to use powder well, and how to comb her hair just so.
She watches the glass slip through fingers, and merely walks out, when the cardinal falls to the cold marble floor.

Athos
He had wanted to pull the trigger, wanted it like a needle through the skin; a tiny hidden, hurtful need, he wanted even though it would destroy the one he loved. He was drunk enough to fire straight, and lucid enough not to miss. He hits the hapless boy in the ribs not the shoulder or the arm as agreed, it is the boys guileless face and the familiarity in her tone, that mixes with the wine to bring old pain in his eyes. His shot is perfect enough to fool the one beside him, he feels her gasp and senses his victory. And when d'Artagnan falls into the hard street, he wants to tear into the banshee, who still breaths beside him. She the cause of this.
Milady
His fingers tighten on her throat just enough to make her fear for her life. Another part of her wonders if it will leave a mark on her corpse. She watches d'Artagnan fall with surprise and fear. Athos is more far gone than she expected. His breath in her ear reeks. She would like to blame this lack of control on the wine, but she knows Athos too well. The fingers that grasp her throat, are tight with rage. Would he twist, and turn and take her life? The gold of the locket near his chest, tells her no, and sure enough she lets him go. The blood on the path gives her only brief pause - they will all pay.
Athos
When he looks in her eyes, when his own are not clouded with rage, only then does he sees her as she is. The murder he always loved, and for a moment he fears she will tear him in two again. She kneels before him and all his must do his is lift his sword. It is right for him to do so. The law would demand it. He lifts his sword to her throat, but only to show her how close she has come.
Milady
A little part of her quakes. Athos is setting her free. She knows she should be dead. Even as he looks her in eyes to say never come here again, Milady de winter, can only think of how she will encounter them again.
