Forever in Love (Response to "30 Things I Love About You)
Asuma,
You weren't at home when I stopped by. I suppose you were busy with something or another. But I think you'll know where to find me. As always.
I realized there are several things I need to tell you after reading your letter and I'm not one to over-explain so I'll get right to the point:
30 things I love you about you
That you never give up
That you never give up on me
That you brush your hair every morning even though it never makes a difference
That no one knows how smart you are until they really get to know you
The way you close one eye when you concentrate
That you've never beaten me at Shogi but I know that you can
That you've made everyone know you as an individual, not as the Hokage's son
The way you smirk when you say I'd make a good mother
The way you look up when I say you'd make an even better father
How big your eyes get when you're surprised
That you stop smoking when you're worried
The way you look at enemies without fear or hatred
How strong you look
That you're actually ten times stronger, and not just physically
How you laugh
The way the corners of your mouth twitch when you sleep
The way you play with my hair when you think I'm not looking
That you walk with your hands in your pockets
How you don't lean down to talk to me even though you're much taller
The way your hands slide down when you hug me and you think I don't notice
That you have a close bond with all your students
The way your eyebrows went up when you first saw me in a nightgown
That you remember every word of every conversation we've ever had
That you always write in ink
The way you say your name
Your hands
How fast you can move when you have to
The way you press against me when we dance
That I can see all your emotions in your eyes
That you never know what to say but somehow always get it right when it matters most
And because thirty isn't nearly enough
How you can read my mind
And on that vein, I'm positive that you'll know where I'll be. Wear something nice, but not too nice. You always manage to get something on your clothes when we eat out (that's thirty-two, by the way).
Forever in love,
Kurenai
