Jade falls into a pit of pudding and live octopuses and Tori must save her.

Requested by anon. I loved this prompt when I got it because it made me laugh and laugh and laugh. Rated K. Hope you enjoy.

"Tori!" I spun around in time to watch Jade fall into a pit of what looked like mud, she hit it with a wet sounding slap and sunk below the surface. I rushed after her, stopping at the edge of the pit. Jade was trashing around in the brown mud, just barely keeping her head above the surface when a giant purple tentacle wrapped around her and dragged her under.

"Jade!" I yelled, her hand broke the surface and clawed madly, I jumped in, trying to get to her. But the mud was thick and I could hardly move. I made it a few feet, but she was far away. That was when a purple tentacle shot up in front of me and wrapped around my arm, dragging me down. Somehow I wriggled my way out of the tentacle and I made it back to the top of what was actually pudding, and not mud. Tapioca.

Jade wasn't too far away, being held hostage by the owner of the purple tentacle, a giant octopus. I hated those things; they were creepy and gross, and now holding one of my friends hostage. I tried swimming toward her anyways, I mean I couldn't just let her get killed or something, but as I got closer, the thing went under the pudding.

I tried to swim faster, but it wasn't really like swimming in water it was like trying to walk into hurricane force winds, "Tori! Help!" Jade yelled again, sounding more angry than scared. Not shocking. None the less, I tried to swim faster to get to her, getting pudding down my shirt and jeans and in my shoes. I couldn't seem to make it more then a few inches even with all of my effort.

"I'm trying!" I yelled.

"Hurry up!" Jade bellowed, and because I was getting closer, the octopus dragged her down further, out of my sight and under the pudding, except for her hand that was just in front of me, I stretched my arm, hoping to her reach her and then there was a loud deafening wailing noise.

I sat up from my desk in history, my ears ringing, "Get up Tor! Fire drill." Cat squealed, bouncing past my desk. I blinked a few times and finally got up, grabbed my bag and followed everyone out of the class, wondering what would have happened if I had gotten to Jade, would she have kissed me in thanks?

The girl in question slammed her shoulder into me, trying to get past me, I moved aside and she stomped past without a second glance at me, she probably hadn't even known it was me that she'd slammed into.

I guess I could only dream.
