Edward Elric
He was always reminded in his nightmares.
Why did everybody always have to remind him in every conversation as well?
Remind him of his mom.
She loved to call him "her little man" any time he did anything she was proud of.
But she's GONE. And that "little man" inside of him was long dead.
Just like all the people whom he actually tolerated calling him any variant of little.
Hughes...
Nina...
...
Mom...
...
He already knew that everyone suffered because of him, so why did they have to rub it in his face all the time?
He already blamed himself, and held the weight of the world on his shoulders.
So why...?
...
But no matter how much it hurts...
He'd hide the pain so far within that nobody could tell.
Use faux anger and over-dramatic yelling...
He'll do what people expect him to after years of doing it...
And he'll be fine.
...
Just like he always says he is.
...
(he isn't)
...
(the pain inside is a prophecy of what is to come)
...
It will all end up okay.
Because Al...
...
Al will be whole again.
...
Even if that means he has to be dead inside.
