Inspired by Blonde By Bridgit Mendler. I mean no offence to the fabulous blondes who read this. Just the people who stereotype them - people, it's not nice.

Annabeth rolled her eyes in her history class while she played with the bead necklace around her neck. The teacher was rambling about something she already knew about like the back of her hand (possibly even better than that. Maybe even Percy's face.) – Ancient Greece. All the kids in the class tilted their noses up at Annabeth for two reasons. A: She was new. And B: She was blonde. It infuriated her. Just because she had blonde "princess-y" hair didn't mean she was as delicate or dumb as every other blonde that roamed the halls of this school. She had finished answering all the questions on the board already – actually within 10 minutes of walking in. This was getting boring. Her dyslexia didn't always play up, but now all the words were doing a polka on the board behind the teacher droning on. Her ADHD was messing with her too, causing her to shuffle in her seat and tap with her pen.

' Annabeth?' The grey haired male at the front called on her.

She looked up and tried to smile – it wasn't her strong suit at times like this. ' Yes, sir?'

' Tell me about Olympus.'

' Which one? The mountain or-' She had to force the word mythical – Sorry Mother, she thought - out her mouth so as not to seem crazy, ' the mythical place of the gods?'

He laced his knobbly fingers together on the desk. ' Whichever you prefer.'

She smiled properly now. This was more like it. ' Well, Mount Olympus was – obviously – and still is, a mountain in Greece. The Ancient Greeks believed that not only was it a mountain but the home of the gods. There were many of these gods. Some were house gods – reserved or created especially for a family – others were patron gods – these gods supposedly began a certain city and protected it. The most known one of these is Athena, goddess of war strategy and useful crafts. She was Patron goddess of the city of Athens, capital city today. And the others were just gods, such as Zeus, King of Olympus and the heavens. I could go on, but… you don't want to be here all day.'

The teacher nodded. ' Right. Thankyou, Annabeth.'

There were whispers behind her and she tilted her head minutely to hear them.

" What the?"

" IKR! I didn't think she knew that much."

Annabeth smirked and leaned back. ' I also know quite a lot about architecture, just in case you wanted to know.'

' Archi-what?' Muttered a girl with a black bob and hazel eyes.

Annabeth pulled an unimpressed face with her grey eyes. ' Buildings. Buildings and structures.' She sighed and turned back to the front, all other work going over her head.

Like before, she knew this better than the back of her hand. And while she may have looked blonde, she certainly didn't act like one.
