A Rainbow After Every Storm

*Flash Back*

"Goodbye Italy"

"Holy Rome… don't go…"

"I promise I'll be back."

"I'll wait for you, I promise."

"Goodbye Italy."

"Goodbye Holy Rome."

It was April, and raining. A sweet light brown haired Italian was staring out the window. It seemed he didn't mind the rain as much as other did.

"Ve~ It's really bad today." He looked out again. "It reminds me of that day…"

*Flash Back*

"The rain makes everything so sad, why can't it stop already?" Holy Rome was looking outside from the window.

"Oh, it's not that bad!" Holy Rome jumped; Italy seemed to have appeared right next to him.

"Italy, you scared me!"

"I'm so sorry!" Italy started to cry.

"No, uh, what I meant was, uh… What did you mean the rain is not so bad?" That made Italy stop crying.

"Oh, right, because of the beautiful rainbow!"

"Rainbow?"

"Yeah, there's a beautiful rainbow after it rains."

"Your right." He looked back outside. "Italy, look!" The rain had stopped; they could see the sun through the clouds.

"Come on!" Italy ran outside with Holy Rome.

"It's just like you said Italy, a beautiful rainbow."

"Hey, Italy!" Italy jumped; he didn't notice that Germany was there.

"Ve~ Germany!" He gave him a hug.

"Nice to see you too. It looks like today's training is cancelled, well, with all this rain."

"Don't be sad Germany. It will stop soon!"

"Thank you Italy." Just then, Italy thought he saw a person outside. It was odd, who would be outside in this weather?

"Italy, are you ok?"

"Um yeah, I'll be right back." The Italian rushed out the door and after the person.

It didn't take long for him to lose the person he was following. He hadn't realized how far he ran. But, He felt as if he knew this place.

"That hill… Is it?" He ran toward it to see some one was already there.

"Holy… Rome…" Italy started to cry; it was him standing up on the hill, all grown up.

"Italy, please don't cry."

"I missed you so much Holy Rome!" He threw his arms around him.

"You waited for me all this time?"

"Your back, you're going to stay, right?"

"I'm sorry, I can't stay here."

"But why?" Italy couldn't understand.

"I was given a chance to see you one last time."

"I don't want you to go…"

"Italy, look." They both looked up, instead of rain; there was a beautiful rainbow.

"I'm happy to see you again Holy Rome."

"I have to go, goodbye Italy!" And like before, he left Italy alone on the hill.

'Italy!" It was Germany; he came running up the hill.

"Ve~ Germany, what are you doing here?"

"I was looking for you! You just had me worried when you ran off, that's all."

"I'm sorry, hey Germany, look!" He pointed at the rainbow.

"It's amazing."

Italy smiled. "Yeah, I guess after every storm, there will always be a rainbow. No matter how long the storm is."
