A long time ago, longer now than it seems, a young duo of boys roamed the forest, for they had a thirst for adventure. Their names were Arthur and James, and they were the most peculiar lads anyone has ever laid eyes on. Arthur had emerald-coloured eyes, messy blonde hair, the ears of a Hare that hung very low as if he could trip on them, and the most ridiculously huge eyebrows that could be mistaken for caterpillars. James was even more odd considering his fuchsia eyes, curly mint-green hair, and lastly, wings and rabbit ears of the same colour. Both these boys were cute in a way, and were best friends from practically the start.

One day, James and Arthur were playing with wooden swords as they always loved to, claiming to see dragons and kill them like Saint George or David. One pulled another into a tight hug, both squeaking happily since they were victorious. Both felt a stronger connection when in a warm embrace over anything. Was it love? Most likely brotherly love, since James was "adopted" into the Kirkland household.

As time passed by, they went into Knighthood, in which James was much more useful for support such as healing and Arthur in combat. After that came being pirates, Arthur battling and robbing the loot of the land, and James cleaning, bandaging, cooking, and counting out the treasure. Next came the punk era where James was dubbed as "The Invisible Drummer" and Arthur "The Thick-Browed Bassist/Front-man."

Now, settling into the present, their bonds have been worn-out, but are still there. A devoted pet and loving master. However, James secretly wishes for there to be something more between them. Perhaps a romantic relationship. As far as he can see, it's impossible, for one does not simply marry their childhood friend.

But wouldn't it be nice?
