Happy birthday, Stellar Eclipse! I'm sorry this is so short; I'm really out of shape in terms of CLC-ness. I'm so used to Clack. I tried to make this more serious, but gah I'm not very good at that. I hope you enjoy it either way :)
Water looked good on Leon.
It made his tanned skin gleam, made all the battle scars blend in, and the way it darkened and clung to his auburn hair was just… entrancing.
When Cloud had walked – or stumbled, in his drowsy state – into the bathroom for his morning piss, he hadn't expected to walk in on Leon.
Taking a shower.
…With the shower curtain open.
He had seen – had felt – Leon naked often enough, but this sight, so pure in its simplicity… Nothing could have prepared him for it.
Leon had his head bowed, the spray of water hitting the back of his neck and head. His left hand was resting against the wall in front of him, while his right seemed to be encircling his Griever necklace (Cloud smiled affectionately – Leon never took it off). His eyes – god, how Cloud loved them – were closed; he appeared lost in thought.
This piece of beauty in front of him, this man had allowed him into his home, into his life, into his heart – this man who had loved, healed, saved him… Moments like this made Cloud wonder what he had ever done to deserve someone like that. Funny, he mused, how Leon had asked him the same thing in their first afterglow.
Wrapped up in his own thoughts and in the sight of water-soaked Leon, he did not notice his lover opening his eyes and turning his head. Only a warm chuckle snapped him back to reality.
"Like what you see?"
It only took Cloud three hard swallows before he could manage a still-scratchy "Yeah… Yeah, I do."
"There's plenty of room."
Cloud's slow mind in the morning took a while to process the underlying message in that statement. Again, he could only manage a "Yeah. Yeah, there is."
Another chuckle sent an involuntary shiver down Cloud's spine.
"So why don't you join me?"
For a while, Cloud couldn't make his mind up between standing here looking at Leon's perfection, or joining him and giving up this sight.
A quirk of the eyebrow on Leon's part made up his mind, and he wasted no time in stepping underneath the spray and wrapping his arms around his lover's waist.
It was then and there that Cloud decided that water didn't just look good on Leon.
Water felt really good on Leon, too.
Reviews are love!
