A/N: So, yeah. Like I said, this was just my inspiration and I wanted to know what you guys though. If I should keep going on my story to get to Social Taboo, to eventually get to this point. Or to just stop. Let me know?

"Aelia? Are you okay?" Fred asked, stopping dead.

Aelia looked up, startled. Wiping her eyes on the heel of her hand she said, "Yeah. I'm fine. Thanks."

Fred stood in front of her, "You don't look okay."

"I'm fine Weasley! Seriously!" Aelia yelled, wiping her eyes again irritably.

Fred gently placed his finger under Aelia's chin tipping her chin up to look at him, "What happened?"

Aelia shook her head sadly.

"Where is Parkinson?" Fred asked.

"With some…girl from Beauxbatons," she murmured.

Fred's brow wrinkled, "Why?"

"I don't know," Aelia stomped her foot.

"Aelia, calm down."

"It's…it's just that…" Aelia said, tears still sliding down her pale cheeks.

"You liked him. I know you did. Everyone knew that you did," Fred said quietly.

Aelia nodded and quietly murmured, "Yeah, Fred. I did."

A small smiled graced Fred's face, "You called me Fred."

Aelia laughed, "You called me Aelia, twice."

Fred's smile burst into an all out grin, "She laughs."

"Yes, I do. Often, actually."

"Really? Because I've never heard it," Fred said gently.

She smacked his chest lightly, "You weren't supposed to."

"Well, it's nice when you do," Fred said pushing her loose strands of hair back behind her ear. "You're much prettier."

Aelia blushed.

From inside the hall, a much slower song started.

"Wanna dance?" Fred asked, holding his hand out.

"Um…sure," Aelia said, taking his hand only somewhat reluctantly. He slid his arm around her waist, lightly. As if he was afraid of touching her. Fred wouldn't exactly call this dancing it was more like slowly spinning in a circle, but to Aelia, this was awkward.

"You don't have to dance with me, if you don't want to Aelia," Fred said gently.

"It's not that. I just…do not dance," Aelia laughed.

Fred smiled, "You you rather go for a walk?"

"Sure."

They strolled leisurely toward the garden. The lights were twinkling enchantingly, it was beautiful. Aelia had kicked off her heels and was holding them in her hand. She couldn't concentrate, a question kept nagging at her.

"Why are you being so nice to me?"

"Honestly? It's mostly because seeing a Malfoy cry scares me a little," Fred laughed, shuddering.

Aelia giggled, "I don't like crying."

Fred laughed, "I would hope not.

Without really thinking, Aelia hugged Fred's waist. He seemed to take a few seconds to register or consider it, but he slid his arms around her shoulders and hugged her tightly.

"Thank you for being so nice, Fred," she said, leaning back to look at him.

Fred gazed at her intently for a second. Then…ever so slowly, he leaned down and kissed her gently, hesitantly. As if terrified.

Aelia pulled back, she stared at him, surprised. Then, she shot up on her tiptoes and pressed her lips to his again. He put his hands on her waist. Her fists found his shoulders.

Suddenly, Aelia dropped back onto her heels, "I'm sorry, Fred."

"It's okay," he murmured quietly.

"Um…" Aelia didn't know what to say, "I'll…I'll see you later, Fred. I think I'm going to bed Okay?"

He nodded, a smile forming on his lips, "Okay."

She stood on tiptoe to kiss him lightly again, "Goodnight, Weasley."

"Goodnight, Malfoy." he murmured, letting her fingers slide out of his.

Aelia sauntered off towards the castle, her bare feet slapping against the stone steps.
