Child, tuck yourself in bed

And let me tell a story

Of Lemuria, a long lost kingdom

And a girl born for glory.

Of a boy who fell

There from worlds away.

Who searched for his friends,

And restored the day.

Aurora, the girl

A royal child,

And Ventus, the boy

Who forever smiled.

Child of a duke,

That's Aurora, see,

Of Austria, 1895,

Bold and brave she be.

A night, Aurora went to sleep,

The fire burned down low,

She caught a chill that spread,

Her skin as cold as snow.

For all intents and purposes,

Aurora was dead,

And yet... Once upon a time,

She awoke in a strange land instead

Ventus, call him Ven,

From nowhere that's known.

A Keyblade in hand,

And hardly all alone.

Ventus loved his friends,

Aqua, and Terra,

But fate drew them apart.

An end to an era.

For all intents and purposes,

Ventus was dead,

And yet... Once upon a time,

He awoke in a strange land instead.

These children, you see,

Journeyed far and wide.

Seeking Lemuria's light,

Igniculus as their guide.

Along the way were

Others, like them and not.

Their strength was stalwart,

And bonds formed a knot.

The path wasn't safe,

No, all fraught with danger.

Betrayal came with it,

And not from a stranger.

They trod a path worn,

Some ways not quite so,

The stars restored again,

The moon shone like snow.

Aurora was older,

Ventus, quite weary,

Both missed their family,

And were far from cheery.

But light disproved night,

Sun, moon, and stars returned,

They fought the Queen of Night

It was all a lesson learned.

Aurora the queen,

The Queen of the Light.

Ventus, the boy,

Thought something wasn't right.

Why was he still there?

Why would he not wake?

This was a dream, correct?

Nothing was at stake?

Surely he was dead.

He knew he was alone.

Even if Aurora,

Sat upon the throne,

After a time there,

In Lemuria, exiled,

He accepted his fate,

Life reconciled.

His heart began to cry.

Ventus knew of little

Who would stay by him,

Love not brittle.

Aurora, still aging,

Felt lonely in her heart,

Surely there was someone

With life to be a part?

The two exchanged vows,

Love in each the other.

King of light beside

His queen and no other.

Ven and Aurora,

Both were happy to be

Together, and yet,

It wasn't meant to be.

One day Ventus fell,

Ill and then asleep.

Soon after, dissolved into light

Nothing left to keep.

Aurora, was broken,

Her heart without repair.

While Ventus, you see,

Returned by his heir.

Ven was restored,

To his dearest friends.

And yet, most unfortunate,

There were no amends.

His love was lost, alone.

Just like he before.

Without her king,

Lost forevermore.

He loved his friends,

Undoubtedly he did,

But you see, my dear,

His cherished wife rid.

The royals of light,

Now and forever apart,

Did manage without each other,

But both had broken heart.

This is what I get for watching a LP of Child of Light isn't it
