Marisa loved the wind.
Cruising on her broom with no particular place to go, she splays her hands wide feeling the air slice against her fingers.
Gensokyo stretched out beneath her, it's trees whistle in the dark half seen in the cool moonlight. Out here she found her problems weren't quite so real.
Chanting a quick incantation she traced a circle around her broom letting autopilot take control. She slowly stretches out along the broom's prickly edge crossing her arms behind her head she smiles down at all the little lights.
'Fly me to the moon, da da da de da da da da, let me see what life is like on jupiter and mars' she sang gazing up at the moon and all it's children, nodding her head to the rhythm, Alice always would hum that tune when they were cuddling in bed. Her eyes glazed over and a wistful smile took her brow, she wondered how her old friend was doing now.
A gust of turbulence knocked the broom roughly and her hat breaks free with the wind going for the clouds but her hand snatches it out of the wind's grip before it can clutch freedom.
Humming that soft tune she finds her head beginning to droop as warm images of her lover phase though her mind.
Come home soon… you nerd
Slowly she falls under the moonlight's spell relaxing more and more into the broom and despite the uncomfortable bed she finds herself slipping away, that song looping around her mind.
Maybe she did have a bit too much sake at reimu's.
Her arms fall to her sides, flopping off the broom and moving against the breath of the earth.
Marisa starts to snore.
'N-no it's fine i can h-have another… another.' she mumbles. 'Hehe, reimu your armpits, your armpits are, they're showing… yukari will, see again…'
Slowly she begins to tilt reaching for someone that isn't there. The broom tries to right it's master but there's nothing it can do as she twists away.
Then a flash of lightning splits the sky asunder, thunder's rumble hitting her like a slap against her face.
'W-wha i'm awake! I-i'm, oh cool lightning' she slurs rubbing her eyes as rain crashes to earth around her wind howling like an angry goddess, her lord of light casting down bolts of fire herculean voice drowning out the elements.
Guess i'd better get home the witch muses covering her mouth she hiccup's cheeks red.
Giving the magic circle a quick pulse she pulls back control wrapping her mind around the magic, forcing it to submit. She giggles stroking the wood softly as the broom's memory of her near death experience feeds back to her.
'Thanks for k-hic-keeping me safe.' she whispers petting the bristles at the back, she can feel it blush.
Another fork of light crackles only ten feet from her, she can feel the electricity warping through her hair.
'Time to goooo'
The magician grins clutching her hat as she wheels around dive bombing out of the clouds yelling at the top of her voice.
