(this was written for Miladygirl. It may turn in to a ship between the two but we shall see )
Today. Her mask had slipped today, and for however long, she remained with her family. Her mask would be askew
Well, the team:
They weren't the family of the conventional type, however, nothing in the life of a BAU agent, could be considered conventional.
These were just some of the thoughts that ran though Alexs head as she stood shivering in a pair of jeans and a strappy top . she knew without having been out side again, every one was out there, talking about what happened. She couldn't go out there, paint on the brave face, she wore every day, she wasn't fine. But this was Alex Blake. The woman who never said If she wasn't fine.
The Hour long journey from the Woods back to the BAU, Had been a cold ride, She'd simply sat there, shivering violently despite the heating in the car. Ignoring any concerned questions from the team asking if she was doing better.
Only now had she. been able to shower after the woods but she couldn't stay under the water for more then five seconds at a time. Even the warm water against her skin, made her feel like she was suffocating, as if imaginary hands were wrapping around her neck, and squeezing tighter with every breath she failed to take.
A small shriek passed her pale lips as a warm hand settled on her cold shoulder . her hand moving to a holster that wasn't there
"Hey, it's okay, It's only me. Alex" He soothed gently "I couldn't find any of your jumpers in your go bag,
So I've got my one that's been on the radiator since we got back" He smiled a little at her as she looked at him
"Thank you but I'm..fi-" Before Alex could try and finish her sentence, the large jumper was pulled over her head and her arms through the sleeves. Swamping her slender, shivering, shaking body.
"You don't need to act like everything is okay with me Alex" He whispered before taking her in his arms. Gently placing his head on top of hers "You can crash with me tonight, I'm guessing you don't want to be alone. Maybe if you are lucky, you might get some wine" He smiled as a rare giggle escaped the younger agent in his strong arms that he didn't know made her feel safe.
