I don't want him to fight!
I don't own DBZ. This story is just my opinion of how Goku feels about Gohan fighting now that the androids have appeared. Enjoy.
The time has come. We've prepared for three years; Piccolo, Gohan, and I. The androids should appear sometime and soon the fighting should start. Vegeta's not here but I know that as a Saiyan he won't miss this fight.
An explosion! "Whoa! What was that?" I asked concerned.
"It's Yajorobe!" Krillin cried.
Yajorobe? Oh no! A few minutes ago he dropped off some senzu beans for us from Corin. His wrecked ship went into the water. Relief flooded through me. 'That's good,' I thought. I heard Piccolo growl then say,
"You guys, it's the androids! Up there! I see them!"
I looked up. Sure enough, there are two figures in the midst of the explosion I caught a glimpse of them before they flew off.
"They flew into the city!" Tien said looking down at the city.
"Where'd they go?" Yamcha asked also looking down.
"I don't know Goku," Krillin said doubtfully. "Did you see them?" he asked me.
Did I see them? I can't be sure. As a Saiyan, I can see what no human can, but, whatever was in the sky at the time of the explosion moved faster than my eyes. Perhaps I could have seen them better as a super saiyan, but I didn't want to reveal that yet because it was a last resort trump card.
"I'm not sure! One second they were up in the sky, and poof! They just vanished! I...I didn't even sense their power levels!"
"Well, they're both androids aren't they? So...maybe we can't!" Gohan said.
And I think he's right.
"That's crazy!" Yamcha said. "How're we suppose to find these androids if we can't even sense where they are?"
We can't sense them. The thought sunk in. 'Crazy, but most likely true,' I thought. Damn it! How can we fight them if we can't even sense their power levels?! They could be stronger than all of us and we'd never even know it!'
"Oh man!" Krillin moaned
"Well," Piccolo said, "if we can't sense their power levels, we'll just have to find them the old fashioned way; with our eyes."
"Right!" I said in agreement. "Let's spread out guys. Bulma, look after these," I told her tossing her the bag of senzu beans. "Now remember, if you find the androids, don't try to take them on by yourselves. Wait for the others."
Suddenly, just like on Nameck, I'm overcome with worry. Not for the others, but for my son. I don't want him to fight! I know we've been training for this day for three years, but, know that the time has come, I don't want him to fight. Chi-chi thinks that I'm not concerned with Gohan's future. If she knew how I felt now, she'd rethink that accusation.
'Maybe, I'm just being paranoid, but, he's my son. My only child. What to do though?'
Suddenly, I had an idea. Yajorobe was still in the water and we didn't know if he's was hurt or not.
"Gohan, go check on Yajorobe. See if he's okay," I told him.
"Right!" he said.
Just like on Nameck, I'm telling him to leave. Why? Because I don't want him involved. I know he's an able fighter, but I don't want to take the chance of losing my son.
