A/N I hope you like the story, it will be kind of short but in the end I hope it'll be worth a read :) I estimate this story to be around 5 small chapters.
It was a routine day of work for Callie and Arizona at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital. The day had just started, and Callie and Arizona were working together on a pediatrics case today. The patients name was Holly Lecter, who was 9, and she needed to have her leg amputated due to a huge infection she acquired. Her parents, Jason and Izabelle Lecter, were by her side 24/7. Even at 3 AM, they were still there and awake.
"Hi Holly, Mrs. And Mr. Lecter." Arizona greeted them with a handshake, shortly followed by Callie doing the same. "I'm Dr. Robbins and this is Dr. Torres." She stated. "Hi, nice to meet both of you." Callie smiled at Holly shortly after.
"So, I understand you are getting your leg amputated tomorrow, but you're here today so they can examine you before surgery and make sure you're stable enough, right?" Dr. Robbins stated. Holly nodded. "I wish I could just have the surgery today." Holly seemed very anxious.
"Well, Holly, Dr. Robbins is the best pediatric doctor you could ever want." Callie flashed a nervous, yet intimate smile to her wife.
"And Dr. Torres is an amazing orthopedic surgeon. You're in good hands." Arizona happily stated. "We're going to leave you to rest, but some nurses will be by to do some routine things." Callie and Arizona walked out.
"I think Holly will be fine, she's just nervous." Callie continued on. "I'll make sure periodically that she's okay, but I don't think we'll have to."
Callie and Arizona exchange a small kiss right as Mr. Lecter was walking out of his door to ask Dr. Torres a question, and he witnessed the whole thing.
