Matty was driving Jenna home, when he pulled off on the side of the road and put the truck into park. Jenna raised her brows and looked confused. "What are we doing?" she asked.

Matty cleared his throat. "I had a lot of fun tonight." He said.

Jenna smiled that one sided shy smile that Matty loved. "Good, I'm glad. I did too."

When he made no other comment and no move to continue driving, Jenna was all the more confused. "So we both had fun. What's the matter now?"

Matty shook his head and sighed. "If Jake and I hadn't gotten Tamara to tell us what was bothering you, tonight never would have happened." He shrugged and looked a little sad. "Because you still don't want to talk to me." He said.

Jenna shook her head. "No, that's not true, I do want to talk to you, about everything," she said. "but I'm crazy, and I'll scare you away."

Matty shifted in his seat so he was facing her. "I know you're crazy." He said with a little smile. "I love that about you." He reached out and took her hand. "I'm not going anywhere, ok? I'm in this with you, I don't want anyone else." He shrugged a little. "But you have to be honest with me when something is bothering you. I'm not a good dancer, but I will try if it's important to you." He said.

Jenna knew that he was right, she needed to be more open in her relationship with Matty…maybe not as open as Tamara and Jake, but maybe with a little time they could find their own balance.

And that fear, the one that has been in the back of her mind since the beginning of summer, was put to rest tonight. Matty wasn't her Ben. Ben was never willing to make a fool of himself for Jenna's mom. Tonight Matty didn't care what everyone else thought, his only concern, was Jenna.
