On the ship, on the way to fighting Eredin...

"Avallac'h, how do you feel about Ciri?" Geralt asked.

"She's... she's my charge, I am her mentor. I feel proud that she is a good student," Avallac'h said.

"Are you sure you don't feel anything else?" Geralt said, interrogating him.

"What could make you think so?" Avallac'h asked.

"First off, all the Aen Elle elves said I have Lara's eyes," Ciri said. "And then we saw those drawings you made of some woman who looked like me, sans scar."

"And don't forget, I personally came to that elven cemetery with Lara's statue. It was many years back when Ciri was still a little girl but the statue looked exactly like Ciri when she's all grown up.

"Everyone knows, even I know, that you've got a thing for Lara," Geralt said.

Avallac'h blushed.

"Aha!" Geralt said. "You blushed."

"Yes, it's true, Lara and Ciri look absolutely alike. But that proves nothing," Avallac'h stated.

"Don't tell me that after spending all that time with Ciri who looks absolutely like the love of your life, don't tell me you don't feel anything else other than teacherly?

"Maybe some warm, sexual feelings, an erection here and there?" Geralt asked.

"All I can say is that Ciri is a very attractive human female. Why should I feel anything about that?" Avallac'h said.

"I call bullshit on this one," Geralt exclaimed in exasperation.

"Or maybe he just prefers she-elves," Ciri said, huffing. "It would be beneath him to sleep with me because I'm human. Maybe instead of killing Eredin, just making Eredin sleep with me is torturous enough for the proud Aen Elle elf."

Geralt grimaced. "Bad idea, Ciri," he said.

"I know, but that's my point," she said.

"Alright, I confess. I do have feelings for Ciri. I can't help it," Avallac'h said. "But I'm the silent and stoic type, and would you rather prefer it if Ciri and I had slept together at this point?"

"Ciri is mature enough to decide when and with whom she wants to have sex but that's besides the point. If you're not gonna be upfront about your feelings, then it's no wonder that you lost Lara to someone else," Geralt said.

"So, Ciri, I have already confessed," Avallac'h said. "Where do we go from here?"

"You're the Knowing One, do you need to ask?" Ciri said brusquely.

"I ask as a courtesy," Avallac'h said, feeling a headache coming on. "Well, if you're just going to reject me, I understand. It won't be the first time." He sounded miserable.

"You..." Ciri said, coming closer to Avallach. "You can be so stupid sometimes." She kissed him. His eyes opened in shock but he quickly recovered, placing a hand on Ciri's face.

(Insert sexy time, I'm tired of writing smut)

The end.
