Superman
As Ginny sung on the stage, Harry remained concealed at the back of the auditorium, a group of kids watching her performance with their teacher.
It had been three long years since Harry had last seen Ginny Weasley, and she had grown so much. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail, and she was wearing an outfit that definitely seen better days, but it didn't matter.
Her eyes were still the same shade of brown, and her smile hasn't changed one bit.
As she sung the song, he had to stop himself from chuckling to himself, the memory of when she first sang it coming to mind.
She said it was her favourite song for them because he was her superman, and she'd wait for him to finish his job of saving the world before he came back to save her.
Harry knew the Weasley's vanished into the muggle world after he left with Ron and Hermione in tow, but he could see that it hadn't dulled their life. They had moved out to America, and Ginny was enrolled in school to seem normal.
Ginny finished her song and Harry allowed the others to applaud before stepping out of the shadows, repeating the words he once said to her, "I'm offended, Miss Weasley. Since when have I been tall?"
Her eyes widened, and Harry could see her almost bouncing with excitement. However, she stayed where she was, "My memory has been slipping; I haven't seen you in so long."
With mock anger, Harry responded to her comment as he walked towards her, "How dare you? Do you know that is punishable by death?"
All eyes were on him as Ginny squealed in false terror, trying to hide her amusement, "Oh no! If I die, I'll never see you again."
As Harry climbed up the steps to the stage, he slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out the black box, but he kept it hidden in his hand, "Well maybe, I'll have to think up another punishment…"
As he stopped in front of Ginny, the little audience had managed to crowd around the stage to see what he was going to do. He dropped to one knee, and opened the little box, "Is marriage an appropriate punishment?"
"Only for you," She murmured, and he pulled out the ring, getting to his feet. He slipped the ring on her finger and kissed her softly.
"It's over," He whispered to her, and she smiled.
"What about the other two?" She asked carefully, and Harry laughed.
"They're fine; just searching for a fast food joint so they can eat. None of us have eaten in three days."
The scolding look on Ginny's face could have rivalled her mother's at that point, so Harry tried something, "I didn't want to eat fatty food. I haven't had a decent meal in three years. I want something your mother has cooked up. And anyway, I can wait a little longer. You are more important."
Although it shouldn't have been good enough, it was, and with another kiss, they made their way off stage, leaving the small crowd behind, not giving any explanation.
AN: I'm not even sure where this little gem came from, however, it was inspired by the song 'Superman' by Taylor Swift. I know I'm supposed to be working on 'Fresh Start', but I couldn't help myself but write this. Hope you enjoyed this, and if you have time, please leave a review.
