Drive Me Wild
The wind flutters through my hair as I slide down the street on my skateboard. "Woah!" I tumble off the skateboard, landing on my stomach. "Ow," Before I can get up, somebody offers me a hand. I look up and see a tall guy about my age, with brown hair and brown eyes. He's holding my skate board in the other hand.
"Are you okay?" He lifts me up, and I immediately notice he's really strong. I nod, smiling slightly.
"Just some bruises, I've dealt with worse on the ramps." I reply, and it's true. He smiles back. He has a nice smile, I can tell he uses it a lot. "I should get to school, I can't be late again." I take my skateboard and lay it on the ground. "Nice meeting you…"
"Adam," I smile.
"Nice meeting you Adam." And I take off down the street on my board.
The whole school day passes and I can't get Adam out of my head. Which may or may not have something to do with the fact I discovered he goes to my school, and has a locker next to mine. And has all my classes. Who knew, am I right?
"OK, spill, who's the guy?" My best friend, Hallie, presses right before our soccer match. I feel my cheeks get hot.
"Just a random guy. He's nice." I look down, attempting to hide the dark red blush spreading across my cheeks. Hallie's lips twist into a mocking sort of smile.
"Oh puh-lease, I've known you since we where five! He's not just some guy." I look down, suddenly becoming very interested with a crack in the floor. Finally, I inhale deeply and speak.
"Adam Davenport." I let the breath rush out of my in two fast words. Swiftly, I shut my eyes, waiting to here what Hallie has to say.
"Oooh! Rich and hot! Nice!" Suddenly, a buzzer went off, signaling all players to get on the field. Girls against boys, my favorite game of the year.
Hallie and I jogged onto the field, and right in front of me was…Adam. Dang, this is going to be a long day.
