I has been years since I have written anything, so I am extremely rusty. Please bare with me. I may continue this and turn it into slightly more adult rating. A little something to get me back on the writing horse.
"4 tequila shots"
The bartender nodded and placed a row in front of me. I picked one up and threw it back, the liquid burning down my throat. I grabbed the next one;
"It's rude to start taking shots when your friends aren't around," a deep voice said in my ear.
"It's rude to interrupt a girl trying to get drunk alone," I responded taking my second shot.
"My apologies."
As I grabbed my third glass, he grabbed the last one. "Next round on me." He told the bartender.
I looked over to face the man who had decided to interrupt me. He was leaning against the bar, hazel green eyes, tousled blonde hair and a slight smirk on his face. He could be a great distraction. He handed me another shot and lifted one to his lips.
"I'm sure your friends are wondering where you are," I eyed him.
"Maybe, or maybe you're not the only one who came here to forget," he said as he took another shot.
"Is that why I'm here?" I took another shot and motioned to the bartender for another round.
"Why else would a pretty girl like yourself come here alone and order 4 shots."
"Is that why you're here?"
He smiled, damn he's pretty, "something like that."
We continued this, very little said, buying each other drinks.
He ordered a pitcher and poured me a glass. He looked me up and down and shook his head, "He's not worth it."
I raised a brow.
"The guy you're drinking over. Clearly he's an idiot."
"Why would you say that?"
He took a step towards me, placing his hands on the bar behind me, keeping me in place. I took a breath, trying to maintain my nonchalant charade. He smelt delicious, earthy and something all him, I bit my lip as he licked his. I wanted to see what those full lips could do. What he could do.
"Because, if you were mine, you wouldn't be drinking alone in a dive bar full of guys wanting to fuck you." He picked up the beer from behind me and took a drink.
I let out the breath I hadn't realized I had been holding as he stepped back. "Is that what you're trying to do? Fuck me, that is."
He smirked stepping towards me again, eyes on mine, and "is that you want me to do?"
I raised a brow, "I'm not sure you could handle it."
He laughed, god that was a beautiful sound. He took another step towards me, effectively trapping against the bar once more. "Sweetheart, I love a challenge," he growled in my ear.
Too much, too soon.
He must have noticed the panic in my eyes because he took a step back.
"I wanna dance. Do you wanna dance?" I asked trying to change the topic.
"we should dance."
I lead the way to the floor as a familiar song came on.
Boy I'mma make you love me, make you want me
And I'mma give you some attention, tonight
Now follow my intuitions, what you're wishin'
See I'mma keep you up all night, for a long time
So start countin' away
We moved in rhythm, song after song, he hands on my hips pulling me close. I tangled my hand in his hair as leaned back against him. I felt a nip at my neck, a gasp escaped my lips. I spun around to face him, his hazel green eyes were so much darker than before. Before I knew what I was doing I reached up and pull his head down into a searing kiss. He responded instantly, his hand in my hair pulling me closer. Our tongues tangled and a soft moan escaped my lips and I swore I heard him growl as he pulled me against him. I bit his bottom lip and pulled away, his eyes nearly black. I licked my lips, "your place or mine?"
