Farewells

Petals floating in the wind,

Overcoming former fears.

The doubt I could defeat you,

One that I once held dear.

...

The fragments all dissolving,

Falling from air to earth.

The motions symbolize your death,

But not my rebirth.

...

I head down to the water's edge,

Recalling long gone days.

Times gone by that we have shared,

Now like sun's fading rays.

...

And as this story comes to end,

A story I can't tell.

All that I can utter to you,

Is a simple farewell.
