(Y/n) sat in the airport waiting for her flight to be called so she could leave the horrid place that she had called home for the past how many ever years she could talk, though she had no idea what a newly graduated eighteen year old could door where she would go, she just knew that she wanted to leave. The girl sighed and looked out the of the window for a moment before someone cleared their throat, instantly catching her attention. She looked to see a tall man with sandy blonde hair standing there.
"Um. Do you mind if I sit there?" he asked, pointing to what seemed to be the only open seat in the area.
"Yeah. sure." The blonde nods in thanks, smiling as well, before sitting.
"If you don't mind me asking. What's someone so young, like you, doing in an airport without someone to say goodbye to?" He asked.
"I'm not really someone my family wants around so I'm leaving. I'm not sure where I'll go all I know is that I just want to leave this pace." The (H/c) haired girl responded.
"Well do you know what you want to do when you get to where you're going?" The girl just shrugged.
"No not really, but I have thought about joining the army."
"Well what's stopping you?" The question caught the girl off guard as each time she had told someone that the laughed and told her to think of a job that was better suited to skills.
"I...I don't really know. I've never really gotten told that I could do it. Everyone that I told always laughed at me and say that I should pick something more my speedy." she explained. The blonde contemplated the girl's words for a few minutes before he spoke.
"You should go for it." (Y/n) looked at the man quizzically at the man.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that you should join if you truly want to. I think that if you're willing to serve this country that you should go for it. I was once like you. People told me that I couldn't join the army because I was a sickly kid but eventually I proved them wrong. If I can do it then you can too." The (h/c)ette looked at the man for a moment before smiling.
"Thanks. I think I'll do it. Thanks for the words of encouragement..."
"Steve. Steve Rogers at your service ma'am."
"Well Steve, thanks again. My names (Y/n) by the way." Just as (Y/n) finished with her thanks her flight was called as she hurried to the gate the last thing she heard was a "You're welcome!"
*Extended Ending*
The blonde smiled, glad he could help someone so young. He looked at the way (Y/n) had walked off before he heard his name being called, to which he looked over to the voice and saw Tony and the rest of the Avengers strolling towards him.
'What's with the smile Capsicle? Finally found someone just as stuck in the past as you?"
"Stark!"
