We see Riley and her mom getting ready for mass...

Mom: Riley! I want you ready for mass in half an hour! Okay?

Riley: Okay, Mom.

Mom: Good. Do you know what you're wearing?

Riley: Yes mom, I know what I'm wearing.

Mom: What?

Riley: My white dress with back and purple stripes, my glitter scarf, my black dress sandals, my sparkly purple headband, my purple leggings and my purple feather earrings

Mom: Not without a shrug. Go get your black one.

Riley: Mom! Are you kidding me? It's almost 100 degrees outside!

Mom: Riley, you're going to mass. Be modest.

Riley: Whatever, Mom

Mom: Good girl. Now go get it.

Before mass...

Riley: Mom, can I go talk to Alyssa?

Mom: Sure, Sweetie.

Anger: Alyssa?! I HAVE A BONE TO PICK WITH HER!

Joy: Why, Anger?

Anger: Remember the last time Riley served as cantor?

Joy: Oh THAT!

Sadness: It made me sad.

Joy: Well, let's just go talk to her. Oh and check it out you guys, she got a haircut!

Disgust: Ugh. It's like, SO, not her.

Fear: Uh, don't say anything to her, Disgust.

Sadness: We can't do her hair anymore!

Anger: Well this isn't about her hair or anything, BUT I STILL HAVE A BONE TO PICK WITH HER!

Joy: GUYS! We can give her styling tips!

Riley (sadly): Hi Alyssa.

Alyssa: Hi. You're all purple tonight

Riley: Thanks

Anger: OH GOOD! MY TURN!

Riley: Listen, I need to talk to you

Alyssa (Laughs): You seem pretty mad about something.

Riley: This is NO laughing matter, Alyssa.

Alyssa: Riley, seriously why are you so mad?

Riley: Remember when I asked if you could ask Enrique and Sara to come hear me sing?

Alyssa: They didn't come?

Riley: No. They didn't

Alyssa: Riley, it's not about who comes to hear you, It's about leading the congregation. And when someone asks me to do something, I do it.

Riley: Then why didn't they come?

Alyssa: They probably had something going on that weekend. I know they usually have family visit during the summer.

Riley: My mom thought you were trying to teach me a lesson when they didn't come

Alyssa: Well I'm sorry I made you feel that way, but I did tell them.

Riley: I better go sit with my mom. Thanks, Alyssa.

After mass...

Alyssa: Hey (stops Riley) I'm sorry about how I made you feel earlier.

Riley: It's okay. I don't really care now.

Alyssa: (gives her a hug) Aaawww, but it sounded like you were really sad

Riley: Well I was a little ticked off when they didn't come.

Joy: What were we going to tell her... Oh wait! I remember now!

Riley: You know, I like your haircut

Alyssa: Oh, thanks Riley

Riley: Do you want me to give you any styling tips?

Alyssa: I was going to ask you, anyway.

Back in the car...

Mom: Did Alyssa get her hair cut or did she just have it pulled back?

Riley: Yes she got it cut

Mom: Oh, it looks nice.

Riley: I told her and guess what?

Mom: What?

Riley: She asked ME for styling tips!

Mom: Why you?

Riley: Because I'm good at those kinds of things. That's why.

Mom: Oh. I thought so

Riley: I know
