May be a one-shot, but if I get responses and reiews, I might continue. So review please!
I examined the blue blouse and red t-shirt that were lying on my bed, trying to choose one for the long day ahead of me. The blouse would be light and would keep me cool, but would be hard to clean if dirtied. The t-shirt would work, plus, easy to clean later. I step back and gaze at them for a few moments longer, "What do you think Cap?" I turn to the orange tabby cat sitting on the bed only a few inches away from where the clothing lies. The cat looks up at me, stands up, and jumps off the bed. "What help you are," I say and watch him walk away. I sigh and pick up the t-shirt and hang up the blouse back in the closet.
I walk into the bathroom and set the shirt down and look at myself in the mirror. Nothing much I can do with unruly brown hair, except coif it. I reach for the shirt and slip it on. I walk out of the bathroom and into the kitchen, only to find Cap sitting on the windowsill above the sink looking outward at birds in the tree branch in front of the window. I chuckle as I turn to the laptop that was sitting on the counter and turn it on. Picking up the computer, I walk over to the table and pull out a chair, sit down and set it down in front of me. I open the email icon and browse through all of the new emails. Some are junk, but then I saw a notification for . I was surprised when I saw that, I haven't been on that site in over four months, since Jim and I broke up.
I clicked on the link for the site and typed in the password for my account and saw I had a new message. I ghosted the mouse curser over the message and hesitated for a second and clicked. The IM messenger popped up and I read the message, "Hey ,I'm Blaine. I was just checking out your profile, and you seem really cool. How are you?-Blaine." I clicked on his profile and began to read his information; 24 years old, black hair, 5'9, athletic, and loves animals. Sounds decent, I thought to myself. I decided to reply ,"Hi, I'm Kurt. I'm well, how are you?"
I got up and walked over to the coffee machine on the counter, turned it on and placed the cup under the spout, and waited for the coffee to stop dripping. Once it stopped, I picked up the coffee and walked back over and sat down in front of the laptop, only to see Blaine had replied.
"I'm fine. I saw on your profile that you love animals and love to sing." I couldn't lie, I was interested in him, and maybe he was in to me, too. It couldn't hurt to just talk, could it?
"Yeah, I actually run a small animal shelter. I saw that you like animals also." I typed out and sent. I took the cup of coffee and took a sip. Not even thirty seconds later, there was a reply.
"I do. You run an animal shelter? That's actually really cool." I read the message and sent one quick message back.
"I have to go to work, but maybe we could talk later? I would like to."
"Yes, I would like that, too. Talk to you later." I shut the computer off and loaded the dirty cup into the dish washer and grabbed my phone on the windowsill.
Short, I know, but please review with your thoughts and if I should continue with this. Thanks! Lexi
