Until I Forget About You
Where are you Tsuna?
I miss you so much right now.
You said that'll you meet me here at this spot hours ago.
No, make that years ago.
I can't stay here forever;
I have work on Monday, remember?
Also, I am hungry.
I brought a picnic basket with me,
Filled with your favorite snacks.
I know you'll love them since I made them by hand.
And that's what you always said after you take a bite
"Wow [Name], this tastes great!"
And I would see you blush
As I try to feed you.
You remember those times, right?
I know you must be rushing over here right now,
And when you come stumbling here,
You'll be apologizing for being late.
I always forgive you.
But life isn't that simple.
"He isn't here anymore"
Is what everybody is trying to tell me.
But I just ignore them,
Shut out their accurate statement,
And wait in this spot for you every day.
Long ago people asked me why I chose you,
And I would only smile and leave them hanging.
If you told me to list the things I loved about you,
It would be a long list.
I would start with your bashful smile,
Loving words, gentle touch;
The way you would rescue me like a princess in distress;
I love being saved by you.
Then your spiky hair would enter the picture,
Maybe even your exaggerated protests to battle others would be included.
I've been waiting for awhile now,
So where are you?
I know the truth now,
So why can't I stop thinking about you?
You must think I'm some idiot sitting here,
Waiting all this time.
But I don't mind,
Even if it takes eternity;
I just want to see your face.
You must think I'm desperate now,
Waiting here for you.
But the thing is,
I have my words engraved in me from long ago:
"I won't ever forget you."
You'll protest and reassure me to wash away
My memories of you,
But it's not that simple.
I can't toss those memories away so easily.
So until I forget about you,
I'll just sit in this spot
And watch the sky.
