Hello everyone. Here is my one-shot story about the assassination of Julius Caesar. The reason for this, is because, today, it is the fifteenth (Ides) of March. I hope that you will enjoy it. :)
The fifteenth of March, 44 BC, a male Scarlet Macaw is making his way to the senate where he is to address his fellow Senators before he goes off to fight against the Parthians on the eighteenth of March, which is three days from today.
He was riding in a carriage that was being carried by four other Scarlet Macaws and his carriage was being surrounded by a group of his supporters with one of them handing him a letter that was addressing a very serious issue, concerning the male Scarlet Macaw.
The male Scarlet Macaw is called Gaius Julius Caesar and he took the note while leaving the giver as well as everyone else wondering if he was going to read the note and that question was left unanswered as Julius Caesar kept on going to the Senate house.
He soon arrived at the senate house where he met up with his friend, another male Scarlet Macaw, called Mark Antony as the two began to make their way to the senate house where the meeting is to take place, though, Julius Caesar saw a very familiar Soothsayer.
"The Ides of March, have come" said Julius Caesar as he looked at the Soothsayer.
"Aye, Caesar, but not gone" said the soothsayer as his voice was rather grim.
Julius Caesar ignored the soothsayer's warnings as he made his way to the senate house while Mark Antony was blocked by another male Scarlet Macaw, who manages to lure the guy away from Caesar and keep him out of the way as well as keeping him from following Caesar.
Julius Caesar entered the senate where he was approached by a male Scarlet Macaw called Tillus and he asked Caesar to see if his brother could return from exile with the request being denied by Caesar which lead to Tillus pulling down Caesar's toga.
The action horrified Caesar before he turned round only to stop a knife strike from Casca which only angered Caesar more as Casca called out to the rest of his friends where entire group of senators started stabbing Julius Caesar from all angles
Julius Caesar tried to fight back, but, he fell due to being blinded by his own blood and his attackers, in their frenzy to stab Caesar, were also stabbing each other with Brutus being slashed on the wing as Julius Caesar continued to get stabbed by the conspirators.
Eventually, Julius Caesar saw Brutus and it was at that point, that Julius Caesar accepted his fate as Brutus delivered the final strike before Julius Caesar fell to the ground as well as pulling his toga over his head as a last action before he took his last breath and died.
Unfortunely for Brutus and the rest of the conspirators, if they thought that by killing Julius Caesar, they have saved the republic, they were wrong as Mark Antony stirred the Plebs to attack the Conspirators which sent the conspirators into exile as they slowly died one by one, until Brutus, himself, died and eventually, after defeating Mark Antony, years later, Octavian became Emperor Augustus Caesar as he was the heir to Caesar.
I know that this is rather short, but, that is what as much as I can do, in the time-limit provided, though, I hope that you still enjoyed it. :)
