That day in the middle of the dining pavilion next to the bonfire a battered and bruised girl appeared. At that time the Hephaestus cabin was offering their food to the gods. Charles Beckendorf Head counsellor of the Hephaestus cabin was the first to reach the unconscious girl. Chiron immediately came to them. Charles took the note that lay next to the girl and started reading it. A crowd started to form around them.

To all at camp half-blood

I humbly ask you to take good care of my little girl. I know that the life of a half-blood comes with many hardships, but this went too far.

Lady Hecate

Charles looked at the girl and shook her gently trying to wake her up. It worked. Her eyes opened wide in fear. She started backing away from the crowd, before she passed out again. "someone ambrosia, now?" Charles said loud and clear. Lee fletcher an Apollo camper came forward and gave a small bit of ambrosia to the girl. "Take her to the infirmary" Chiron said. His eyes only showing sadness and pain. Annabeth spoke up "There is no way she's older than ten. There hasn't been a child of Hecate before, but Grover just said she barely even smells like a half-blood. It wasn't a monster that attacked her, was it?" looking carefully at Chiron's reaction. He looked at her gravely "That depends on the definition of the word monster" Chiron walked away. "She was so scared, it almost scared me" Charles said as he looked into the direction Lee had carried her.

That night Charles Beckendorf had a nightmare. He couldn't get those scared eyes out of his head. The panic and fear he had read in those emerald green eyes, he just couldn't get rid of those images. He woke up that morning with sweat on his forehead. He decided to shower and then go to the infirmary, to see the girl of his nightmares.

At the infirmary he asked Lee who was still there how she was. "She's in and out of consciousness, her body has healed but we still need to see how far the psychological damage goes. You can go and see her if you want." Charles nodded "thanks" he walked in and sat down next to her bed. She opened her eyes and Charles asked softly "How are you doing?" And just like that she started to freak out. Moving into the corner of the bed as far away from him as possible, screaming and crying as she did. Charles tried to calm her down but it only made it worse. "SOME HELP IN HERE!" he yelled. Lee came running in, looking around. "Panic attack" he went through some drawers finding a syringe. "Can you hold her down?" Charles wasn't sure what to do. He didn't want to hurt the girl but she was in a frenzy. "Fine" he said. He pulled at her legs making her lay on the bed. He clamped her legs with his en took hold of her arm above her head. She couldn't move there was no way out. He made the mistake to look in her eyes. He could read the fear in her eyes. The fear that he would hurt her. The fear that he was going to do the unspeakable. Charles had seen fear before, but nowhere near anything like this. Suddenly she relaxed, Charles looked at Lee who was pulling the syringe out. "That should keep her calm for about 2 hours." Lee said. Charles started to climb of the bed. He wanted to leaf, he wanted to get out of here. Lee had already left but as Charles walked out of the door he heart a soft voice. "P-please s-st-stay"
