DarkTaoAngel: I do not own Shaman King. I have been experimenting with oneshots, and trying to see if I am good at them. I thank all of the people who actually think that I am!

She was shy, he was outspoken. She liked him, and he never showed signs of liking anyone. They were complete opposites, and how their lives collided is more than coincidence; it changed both of their lives, forever. As he stood there contemplating it all, he knew that it had been his fault, though he never would have thought of it weeks before, when it needed to be said. They may not have had anything in common, but they could have been considered Yin and Yang, though neither dared speak of it at the time. The truth was as such, that he had loved her just the same, and he had only realized it when it was much too late, for her.

It had been late at night, a surprise attack was launched at the Inn, targeted by none other than Hao Asakura, for whom everyone had believed long gone; he remembered the night as though it was only a day before, and something he wished with all of his heart that he could forget. The scream, coming from her as she had jumped in front of him, protecting him from the attack that was sure to kill him. Instead, she was hit, and his fate was unleashed upon her already fragile body. Blood was shed everywhere.

His team had won the fight, but just barely, and those who had died were unable to return. He had been the only one who had thought that the entire battle had been pointless, only hurting everyone; instead of being victorious, they had lost so much more than a battle.

All along he had had her, and the ultimate opportunity to tell her so, but now that he thought about it, and reality took its full effect on his mind, he knew that he could never have her. She had always been there for him, and as she was hit and fell before his eyes, he heard but one last thing out of her mouth.

'Horo!' She had shouted his name just before her own death, because she had cared about him that much. He had not told her anything, shock and disbelief stopped him from doing so, but now that he thought about it, there was nothing for him to say, there never would be. He would meet her again someday, and when that day came he would have so much to day.

He had been devastated by her death, but was unable to admit it to himself, telling himself that it was all just a dream, and that she could never really be gone. She was, and now even Horo had to admit it to himself before moving on with his life. He could not let her sacrifice be in vain, and he had to life, for her.

And even though Tamara was gone from this world, she would never leave his heart, and so, she had never truly died, not to him anyway.

DarkTaoAngel: For all those who read my longest story, 'Rise of the Phoenix', I will be updating soon. I have been writing extremely short stories, and I apologize if they seem a bit too short. I finally decided to try and write a Horo x Tamara story! If I get a few more reviews, then I will make them longer, I just want to know that people have been reading and enjoying my stories!
