Mothers day fic, nothing big, R&R:)

"I'm going home," Catherine said as she poked her head into Grissoms office.

"Night" the man replied, not looking up from his newspaper. Catherine shook her head slightly, and made her way to the locker room.

"You heading home?" Warrick asked as he pulled a jacket out of his locker.

"Yeah, have the day off tomorrow" she replied as she headed out the door. As quick as she could, she left the building, and climbed into her car.

Within half an hour she was climbing into her bed, and was asleep instantly.

Catherine groaned as she woke up. She could hear whispering in her room, and had been woken by a high pitched giggle. Groggily, she pushed herself into a sitting position, and blinked the sleep out of her eyes.

She looked around and saw Lindsey standing at the foot of the bed. Her daughter was sporting a huge grin, and holding a tray full of food. When the girl saw that her mother was awake she walked closer, and handed her the tray.

Catherine looked over what she had for breakfast. A large plate of pancakes sat in the center of the tray, a slab of butter on top, and a drenching a syrup finished the look.

A bowl of fresh cut fruit was to one side of the pancakes. A cup of orange juice and a mug of coffee were on the other. Above the plate was a small, wrapped box.

"Thanks, honey" she said to Lindsey, pulling her into a hug.

"It wasn't just me" the teenager muttered. As she said it they heard a knock coming from the doorway. They both turned to see who it was. Catherine was suprised to see Warrick standing in the doorway.

"Hay" he broke the silence.

"Hey" Catherine replied. Lindsey quickly excused herself and left the room. As soon as she was gone Warrick closed the door and walked over the Catherine. Bending down he gave her a small kiss.

"You didn't have to do this, you know" She told him.

"I wanted to" he replied as Lindsey slipped back into the room.

"Open it" she urged her mother. Catherine didn't need to be told twice, and she instantly ripped the paper off of the box. Inside she found a jewelry box. She opened the box. Inside of it was a simple heart locket. She opened and saw a picture of Lindsey, Warrick and herself. She felt tears crowed her eyes.

"We knew you would like it" Lindsey told her.

"Thank you" she whispered, and started to eat.
