The water; it crept up the thin ankles of the seeker. It wasn't going that fast, he had time. Red optics darted around the dismal enclosure, their red glow wavered, showing his unease.

The only light source other than the red optics came from below the sloshing clear threat. Starscream skittered backwards away from it; a scraping clash of metal as his pedes hit the floor echoed back and forth in the space. Splashing the water around as if it were grabbing for him. Only to he reminded of the bond his ankle wore as it pulled taught. It sent his thoughts in a flurry of panic. The water was getting closer. The second in command strained the chain's limits. Pulling back as far as he could threatening to bend his own plates. Starscream was out of missles, he wasn't strong enough to break the chain.

His ventilating came in short raspy gasps. Trying to focus, but it only brought him back to the seemingly inevitable.

Touching his waist.
Up to his waist.

Unable to see the level of the liquid clearly in the dark, he only felt the freezing water enveloping his plates as it rose. Starscream pulled himself to a standing position, his bound ankle suspended forward by the tension he caused as he inched farther back. He reached for the wall still far out of reach- anything to touch.

A loud buzzer sounded that made his spark lurch into his throat an drew his attention upward. With a horrible grinding and a shriek of rusty protesting metal, cascades of water barreled down on him from above.

His shriek was killed by the sheer volume of it, nearly filling his vents in a nanoclik and mericilessly knocking him into a directionless swirl. He struggled madly to get out from its crushing weight, waving his arms to find open air. Claws dug deep into the floor, leaving dents and scars for later victims to gaze at in their last moments.

The wonderful feeling of space that lacked water came over his hand and he struggled toward it. His optics finally able to make out which way was up he saw the surface in the black water. The roar of the waterfall was deafening to his audios and already screaming helm. Feeling the airy relief surround his other hand and the crest on his forehelm. The seeker gave one more heave and felt a shooting pain rip up his wires in his leg, his ankle, the bond.

Optics widened in realized horror as the air was slowly pulled away from him and consumed by more water.

He screamed, but the water muffled it to near silence.

Starscream shut his optics against the overwhelming black that felt sentient and menacing.

The anchor held him down. He opened his optics again, to see bubbles traveling up, up... up, as the water continued to fill the abyss.

A terrifying sense of relief overcame him suddenly. It scared him to his core, but he couldn't find the will power to panic. His struggles slowly ceased, and the feeling of weightlessness set in, just before his frame started sinking.

He was offlining... but he couldn't bring himself to be scared...

His conscious awareness to his surroundings and connection to his frame slowly left him, oblivious to it himself. Starscream found himself smiling, genuinely, before everything felt better.

Everything was going to be okay.

His optics opened to see someone he had never seen before, but already trusted fully.

"Primus.."
