Thanks: As always, thank you so much to my betas for taking a look at this for me. : )
Disclaimer: Though it pains me to say so, I do not own the rights to anything that belongs to the Harry Potter universe, nor do I make any money from writing about them. The only thing(s) that I can claim as mine own are the ideas and/or characters created by me that may be woven into the wonderful world of all that is Harry Potter. Everything else is used in the spirit of good-natured fun or naughty shenanigans. What can I say? I just like to play!
Author's Notes: Hi guys! So first off, thank you all for reading! I appreciate my readers and love nothing more than their feedback, good and back. So, please leave a review and let me know what you think. Also, this story is slightly AU because Fred is still alive! I love the twins and can't bear to think of them being separated…so I apologize in advance for all of you who like to keep things strictly cannon.
Mr Fluffles
Rose stood just outside of Weasleys' Wizarding Wheezes, her face pressed anxiously to the glass, staring at a basket in the window display. It was full of wriggling purple and pink fluff balls with beady black eyes. An excited smile played across her face as she watched the cute little creatures vibrate with contentment. They were the reason that Rose had dragged her mum to Diagon Alley. It was the evening before she was meant to catch the train for her first year at Hogwarts and she really should have been at home packing her trunk.
Glancing over her shoulder, Rose called out, "Oh, come on Mum! Hurry! Before Uncle Fred and Uncle George close up."
Hermione couldn't help smiling at her daughter's impatience as she closed the distance between them. Pushing the door open she said, "Your Uncles would never close up with you standing outside. Now hurry and pick the Pygmy Puff you want. Remember, we still have to fit all your books into the trunk tonight."
Rose made quick work of picking out a lilac purple Pygmy Puff. Cuddling him close on the way home, Rose lovingly announced, "I think that I'll call him Mr. Fluffles."
